After reviews on Fragrantica pointed toward this being an Autumn/Winter Fragrance, I smelled it only to think "hey, if this was a bit sharper and fresher it could easily suit Spring and Early Summer too".
Performance is Moderate and it's ok for me not weak in any sense and can smell it on me after a day so longevity is there. I was surprised that people compare it to elixir which is loved by many, so I had to get a sample of elixir. I was tempted to sell on my bottle of this (as I found it a little too in your face) but I gave it a few extra chances and I appreciate more now. You’ll need to actually smell the fragrance to get the complete picture and grasp the ‘reality’ of the composition. Super close to Sauvage Elixir, but sauvage is a bit more spicy and Asad has more of that Vanilla note. Like most lataffa fragrances, at first it doesn’t have great performance but after a few weeks it seems to last longer due to maceration . Keep in mind that anyone can view public collections - they may also appear in recommendations and other places. I know macerate is the hot word lately but no amount of waiting can fix that awful overpowering smell of incense. Compared to the "original", I think the Asad is a little warmer, especially in the drydown, where the intense spices of the elixir are replaced by vanilla. When I first bought this I wasn't sure, the opening was exactly the same as Dior elixir and smelt very expensive. But the spices are tamer and I actually get more of the sweet fruit / pineapple in the opening along with the warm sweetness.

Lastly, quality of ingredients in Dior shine, you just can tell it’s a higher end fragrance, but honestly, in the air as it should be perceived, Asad smells high quality too, not as much as Dior, but still. This fragrance transitions so well, from sweet-spicy to woody, back to sweet, with lavender anchoring the whole sequence. Drydown is just Awesome not spicy just sweet woody , i love to smell it again and again on my wrist very tasty smell . Asad is definitely going for the Elixir vibe here and very close at 80% with Elixir being very bright at the front end and higher quality throughout.
