Pricing is competitive with Corsairs HX and AX series supplies and the better deal usually comes down to which one is on sale.
If you feel this is superfluous then you can save a little bit of cash and get the plain HX Platinum unit. Besides its 80 PLUS Platinum rating, this PSU also carries the ETA-B and LAMBDA-A+ efficiency and noise certifications from Cybenetics. The RMx series for instance is a 80 Plus Gold certified, fully modular range incorporating a 135mm rifle bearing fan inside. Obviously when measuring AC noise and ripple on the DC outputs the cleaner (less recorded) means we have a better end result.
