About this deal

Mallenroh and Morag live in the Hollows within the Wilderun; Mallenroh controls the west, Morag the east. Their domain surrounds the mountain Spire's Reach, location of Safehold and the fountain of the Bloodfire, the destination that Wil Ohmsford and Amberle Elessedil are seeking. Although their magic is immensely powerful they have no power outside the Hollows, in the manner of the King of the Silver River, indicating that their magic is an earth magic tied to the land and perhaps to the Bloodfire itself. The Star Wars Encyclopedia describes Morag as having the face of a mandrill, perhaps indicating that Morag was designed with this type of monkey involved. Morag is a common Gaelic name, meaning "The Great One." [19]

Morag also had the ability to create large and widespread illusions. During her scheme to revive the Kreegon, Morag conjured a massive image of her face over Bright Tree Village to taunt her enemies and allow her agents time to retrieve the Kreegon's crystal eye while the Ewoks were distracted by her presence. [6] In the same fashion, Morag manipulated her appearance to deceive her opponents, creating an illusion that she was young and friendly as opposed to decrepit and sinister. Morag also projected her appearance into Logray's crystal image spinner, which she used to set up her final showdown with Logray by revealing through the device that she had kidnapped the Ewok children. [2] From JEDI to Television: The Saga of the EWOKS and DROIDS Adventure Hour – Part II by Post, Dennis on radiofreesacramento.com ( September 7, 2015) (archived from the original) The fifth series continued in this new format, but with Gail Porter having decided to quit kids' TV, Kate Heavenor was brought in to replace her. Heavenor had previously been presenting programmes for BBC Choice, and was one of the first presenters to graduate from a digital BBC channel to a show on one of the mainstream terrestrial channels. The Haunted Village" was adapted into a children's book of the same name in 1987. [3] It was also partially adapted in a 1985 coloring book. [4] The show gained a reputation for allowing alternative bands to perform alongside the mainstream pop acts, and booked groups including Electrasy, Shed Seven, Catatonia, The Dandys and St. Etienne to appear during this era. After the series finished production, Nelvana sent the majority of pre-production materials to Lucasfilm, who later partnered with the former company Royal Animated Art to sell these materials to private owners. Some were bought by a California business, [9] and some were later given out as part of the Hyperspace fan club. [20] In 2010, StarWars.com celebrated the 25th anniversary of both Droids and Ewoks by featuring a series of articles about the collectibles available from each series. [21] The 2013 one-shot comic Star Wars: Ewoks—Shadows of Endor was designed to tie together all the various aspects of Ewok lore. [22] Home video [ ] Topaz agreed that they must find her dark side, but secretly hoped that she and Morag would be re-united.Morag wasn’t Morag without her dark side. So, after lunch, Morag went for her first lesson of the afternoon. When she got to the classroom she discovered her dark side was already there, busy preparing spells! Morag’s dark side had already prepared a “turning a nose into an elephant’s trunk” spell and a “Running skin into dragons’ scales” spell and was just finishing off a “turning your teacher into stone” spell!

No escape, little flutter-glow. There's a great thirst in the forest, almost as great as Morag's thirst for vengeance. And you, our Wistie queen, are my newest servant in my battle with Logray and his cursed Ewoks." ―Morag kidnaps translated=1|Queen Izrina [1] Well done, my old friend. Help save your people again, you did. Soon it'll be just you and I, Logray, and then it'll be just I!» ―Morag [1] Everything You Always Wanted to Know about the Nightsisters but Were Afraid to Ask" — Star Wars Insider Special Edition 2014 Unlike Darth Vader, Emperor Palpatine and the other villains, she is the most darkest villain to ever appear in a kid show. In her next attempt to destroy Logray and the Ewoks, Morag decided to manipulate the local Phlogs, large creatures that resided on the forest moon. After finding a Phlog family made up of Zut, Dobah, and their sons, Hoom and Nahkee, Morag had her Yuzzum servants kidnap the youngest child, Nahkee. Using the power of her staff, Morag hypnotized the child, allowing the Yuzzum and their rakazzak beasts to carry the young Phlog away in a net. Before the Phlogs had noticed the theft of their child, Morag planted several Ewok hoods and weapons near the area. When the Phlogs went searching for Nahkee, they discovered the Ewok evidence, and just as Morag had planned, they surmised that the Ewoks had stolen their young son. As the Phlogs made their way toward Bright Tree Village to enact revenge on those whom they thought were responsible, Morag headed for the Dulok Swamp to find a place to hide the kidnapped Phlog. [10]Wil, Amberle, and Eretria free themselves during this battle with the assistance of Mallenroh's servant Wisp, a modified creature that was once an Elf. With his help, they recover the Elfstones and escape from the burning tower. Morag serves as a dark counterpart to Lincoln; representing what Lincoln would've become if he let his desire for peace and quiet, being in the spotlight, and any resentment he may feel toward his family for their behavior define him. Mallenroh and Morag are guardians of the Bloodfire in Safehold; in The Elfstones of Shannara they are the Witch Sisters, the last of their coven, and living in the Hollows, a region in the Wilderun where Safehold is found.

Just then, the bell sounded for lunch. Although Morag felt she ought to find her dark side, she also knew hat the bell was a command to go the dining hall, and she must disobey it. Morag sat down to lunch next to her friend, Topaz. Morag first appears when she gets out of the bathtub to get dressed, as she welcomes the Loud Family to Loch Loud Castle. After just a few days of interacting with the Louds, she's driven to the point of shouting out her hate on a far away cliff and digging up her ancestor's journal to learn her methods of controlling the family dragon Lela. When a special occasion was going on, she brainwashed Lela the dragon into causing trouble and usurped Lincoln. Afterwards, when the Louds were preparing to leave, she fed Lela trash to grow it into a full adult, and brainwashed it again in preparation to make her ascension to the throne indisputable. No escape, little flutter-glow. There's a great thirst in the forest, almost as great as Morag's thirst for vengeance. And you, our Wistie queen, are my newest servant in my battle with Logray and his cursed Ewoks. Although quite powerful and feared by the locals on Endor, Morag was not the most successful adversary. Although occasionally able to inflict pain upon the Ewoks, such as when her mantigrue destroyed the sunberry trees, Morag's plots were usually foiled. [4] However, the Tulgah witch was incredibly persistent, cooking up new schemes for nearly two hundred local years after her defeat at the hands of Logray. [2] As a result, Morag had a variety of creatures serving under her during her campaign against the Ewoks. While her best known servants were the mantigrue and her Yuzzum guards that protected the entrance to her lair on rakazzak beasts, several other small beasts resided in Morag's mountain fortress and would answer to her commands. However, they are stopped by Wil, who kills them both easily using the Elfstones. TSK!” scoffed her dark side. ”You might not want any chocolate but I certainly do!” and with that she ran off once more, dropping chocolate on the freshly polished floor as well as pushing a big piece into her mouth. The first series is presented by Zoe Ball and Grant Stott, and set in a fictional hotel. The presenters were joined by actor Paul Brophy, who appeared as a series of comic characters (such as 'Jan Van der Vall', 'Les Vegas' and 'Wee Alistair McAlistair'), and by a large puppet, a talking Highland cow named Morag who was the hotel's receptionist.

The series received its first home video release in 1990 when J2 Communications released The Star Wars Trilogy Animated Collection. The collection consisted of three VHS tapes; one tape contained one episode, while the other two tapes contained two episodes each—with one of those repeating the episode from the single-episode tape. Each tape began with a Star Wars Animated Classics trailer promoting the "Special Double Length Edition" volumes. However, for the single volume tapes, the white box covers were shown, but differing content was advertised. CBS/Fox Video also released the complete series on Region 2 VHS in the UK. [9] [17] After gaining control of both the Sunstar and the Shadowstone, Morag became more powerful than ever. When the Loud family was about to leave, she became the duchess of Loch Loud. Then she tried to destroy the Loch Loud village with the brainwashed Lela to drive everyone away, all while she was taking a bath. Before she could succeed in her plans to get her peace and quiet, the Loud family got in her way, luring her out so Lincoln could get on top of the brainwashed Lela and get the royal scepter and Dragon Stone from her. The ewoks may look primitive at first, but there is evidence in Return of the Jedi that they are a lot smarter than they appear. While not as technologically advanced, they are very good at working effectively with the resources available to them. They have a hidden talent for engineering- note the intricate structures that make up their village, which is built to be supported by trees. They even have simple gliders that allow limited flight- well beyond anything stone-age humans could have come up with. While having the means to build advanced technology, they were even capable of developing a crude understanding of how to use certain machines, like speeder bikes. They had to be smart, due to the environmental pressures of Endor. In 1984, Joe Johnston wrote and illustrated The Adventures of Teebo: A Tale of Magic and Suspense, an Ewok storybook that introduced many of the elements that would later appear in the series. Also that year, Random House began publishing a series of children's books with the subtitle "An Ewok Adventure," which were meant to tie into both the series and Caravan of Courage: An Ewok Adventure. In 1985, Kenner produced a toy line based on the series, including action figures, ship models, and other items. Also that year, Star Comics, an imprint of Marvel Comics, published a bimonthly Ewoks comic, which was based on the animated series. The comic ran for two years, ending with issue #14. Like the TV series, this was aimed towards a younger audience. It was produced along with the Droids comic, which was based on the Droids animated series. Star Comics' Ewoks 10 was a crossover with Droids (1986) 4. An LP record and a cassette were released of the French theme song by Dorothée. [19] Similarly, David Tennant portrayed The 10th Doctor in Doctor Who and Michelle Gomez voiced Missy, the female incarnation of The Master. Lincoln and Morag fight over the staff as they end up crashing into the castle. The Louds and Angus catches up to Lincoln, but Morag manages to get them surrounded this time with Lela. Instead of sending them away, she now plans to kill them, but Lincoln jumps in front holding the crown defending his family, knowing Morag won't destroy the crown while he's holding it. Lincoln runs with the crown to distract Morag as they get cut off from the Louds. Without giving this any thought at all, Morag blurted out, “I am better than my parents, and I am probably better than you!” Due to the death of Diana, Princess of Wales in the early hours of 31 August 1997, the edition of Fully Booked recorded for broadcast that morning was postponed, ultimately airing as part of the CBBC morning schedule on BBC Two on 2 September at 7:30am.
