The Kumfi Lead has several functions and great features and can be used with the Kumfi Kombi Collar or Kumfi Complete Control Harness. Use the medium length as above if you feel the lead is too long. Use the standard length for normal exercise by holding the triple handgrip with one hand and the double fabric with the other hand. Do not wrap the excess fabric around the hand. In this format hands-free walking, exercising or training can be done by putting the left hand and head through the loop with the dog walking or being worked on the left. If the dog is on the right then the right hand is put through. This is for standard or large breeds of dogs. If it is required for a smaller dog then adjust the lead as at “D” making the loop big enough to pass over the shoulder. The hands-free format is useful for both dog walking and training. If your dog is walking on your left, put your left hand and head through the lead loop. Use the long length for controlled exercise on grass, for general training, teaching recall or stays. The ‘DOGALTER’ is unique in that it can be left safely on the dog and consequently unlike most other head-collars this mystical calming and distracting effect can be effectively used as a BEHAVIOURAL AID for many other canine problems (see training tips below).
