About this deal

She comes from a law-abiding family: her mother is a "model in high demand", her father is the head of a television station, News 24. If these parents are helping their child get better than wouldn't society be also healthier instead of having a sick child that is spreading a virus around? You just have to know them when you see them, little pockets of light and hope hidden away in darkness.

Cecelia Ahern said: “ Flawed is one of the most thrilling, blood-pumping, heart-thumping stories I’ve ever written and I’m excited to share Celestine North’s journey with everyone. It was adapted as a motion picture titled Love, Rosie which was released in 2014, directed by Christian Ditter and starring Lily Collins and Sam Claflin. This isn't her first published work of speculative fiction (she contributed to a 2015 collection of Doctor Who short stories).

Num futuro próximo há um país e uma cidade, sem nome, que criou um tribunal chamado Guilda, constituído por um comité que investiga e supervisiona os indivíduos que são acusados de serem Imperfeitos. Her boyfriend Art is superficial and shallow and I had no information about the third boy because they didn't even talk to one another. Ahern's YA journey with her, I would recommend it to age-appropriate readers who enjoy various dystopian themes. This love story goes deep as everyone except the couple knows that they are destined to be together and they realize the fact after a long journey looking for someone else. In contrast, Celestine’s grandfather, Cornelius, who was ostracized from the family for spreading conspiracy theories about the Guild’s corruption, now becomes her strongest ally.

I’m drawn to writing about loss, to characters that have fallen and who feel powerless in their lives. One that is quick to point the finger at those who make personal decisions that perhaps we frown upon. When Celestine is branded as Flawed after helping an old man, she realizes that the system is unfair and oppressive. It has a lot of the elements you see in a typical dystopian novel; a society governed by strict rules to keep people in line, yew-neek character names, a love triangle and a follow-the-rules teenager who suddenly becomes the poster girl for a revolution. The main character is strongly developed and felt a bit unrealistic as teenagers like her do not exist anymore, someone who is perfect beyond imagination.

With movie rights already optioned by Warner Brothers, and a second Flawed book in the pipeline, Ahern's star shows no sign of burning out. She thinks I’m a know-it-all, which she has told me plenty of times, and I try not to be one with her. The rebels have grabbed onto Celestine's story and are using her as a sort of figurehead for their movement.Schon allein die Grundstory überzeugte mich auf ganzer Linie und fesselte mich regelrecht mit Eisenketten an die Seiten. Set in a dystopian society where following the rules and social norms strictly enforced and perfection is the goal, Celestine North is the model citizen: beautiful, straight-A student who is logical and is the girlfriend of the son of the most powerful judge in the country. Her first novel at the age of just 21, was a best seller in all parts of the world and remained as a best seller for 52 weeks in Germany.

If people are found not to be perfect they are branded like cattle with the marking F for flawed, pretty harsh shit if you ask me, but it isn't too much different from real life? Hugely accessible, emotionally resonant and with a character who will seize the hearts of anyone who meets her, this is the ideal book for anyone who has ever felt the pressure to be perfect.Actually, she's been invited along a few times to this appointment, but she keeps brushing the gold embossed envelope under the shag pile carpet. But one small mistake lands her up face-to-face with Judge Crevan in the courtroom, who will judge whether her mistake is forgivable or punishable, resulting which she might be branded as "FLAWED".
