There's a lot of Christian-ese talk about communing with God, accepting Jesus as your savior, reading the Word, healing your soul, claiming your inheritance, laying it at the cross, and letting "it" go. She explains instead of building walls build a fence with a gate so we can let others out when they cross boundaries we have set.

I absolutely have a long way yet to go, but i am confident that using what i have learned in this book, referring back to it and of course studying Gods holy word, i will one day be fully healed through Christ who is my strength and redeemer.Meyer made two great points in this book: that we should not see ourselves as merely survivors because of the negative connotation it leaves behind and that we can receive “beauty from ashes.
