About this deal

Aldi is best known for it's bargain prices on garden furniture, homeware products and every day items but could their skin care products be the best bargain of all? Here, she'll share the freshly released heroes that she loves: ready to let you know where to spend your skin and hair care cash.

Unlike a few toners that contain an AHA, this toner doesn't leave any redness on my skin and didn't cause any sensitivity, which I was absolutely grateful for. Aldi's own skincare and beauty range 'Lacura' is giving big beauty brands like Liz Earle, Clinique, L'Oréal and Garnier a run for their money, as some of the Aldi's skincare products are almost identical to the products from expensive brands. Not only are the prices extremely low, but beauty enthusiasts and dedicated Aldi fans swear the products make your skin look and feel just as good, if not better, than some designer brands. The only thing I will say, is that it doesn't lather up as much as I would like. I did feel that I had to use quite a bit mixed with warm water before it really gave enough to clean the full face.

If there's one fact of life that will always remain certain, it is that Aldi is one of the best places to be when you want to nab yourself some sweet bargains. Our testers loved how moisturising this own-brand night cream from Aldi felt. They loved its light texture that left no unpleasant residue and that it was easy to scoop out of the jar and smooth across the skin. It sank into the skin almost immediately and left it feeling instantly hydrated, with 93% of testers agreeing that their skin felt replenished by morning and in better condition. It scored six out of 10 in the lab assessment for making a marked improvement to skin hydration immediately and after six hours. We liked verifyErrors }}{{ message }}{{ /verifyErrors }}{{ The verdict, even though both products were so similar, I have chosen the L'Oréal Paris, 'Revitalift Hydrating SPF 30 Cream' as the winning product as even though it was a creamy moisturizer, it really did feel lightweight on the skin and was non greasy which is important when wearing a moisturizer for 12+ hours a day.

More intensive skincare routines are on the rise, with one in five of us increasing the time we spend each day layering on products, per a recent survey. As such, it’s no surprise that 76% of people who bought cleansers, toners and serums last year said that price remains a key factor, when they choose which item to buy. On the days that I just needed a generic face wash, or for those 'double cleanse' days, I used this 99p face wash which is said to be good for anyone who suffers from dry skin. Although inexpensive skincare care can get a bad rap, budget-friendly beauty aficionados will tell you they can be just as good as the expensive stuff. For me, the absolute winner of this face wash, was the fact that it was perfume and soap free, which was perfect for someone like me. My skin didn't feel as tight afterwards and was actually pretty soft.

And that's not all the discounted chain is known for, as they have also branched out into the beauty and skincare world with the launch of their in house brand Lacura. The supermarket's own-brand features a range of luxurious beauty products that are said to be very similar to designer brands such as Clinique, Elizabeth Arden, Liz Earle and more - but without the price-tag. Read More Related Articles Now, I know what you are all thinking, didn't I just review a facial cleanser. That I did, but I am a big believer in the 'double cleanse' routine, especially in the evenings when I need to take off all my make-up, which is where this face wash came in handy.A small amount popped onto a cotton pad went a long way and the scent wasn't over-powering or too artificial. Considering the size is a 250ml bottle, I think my money was well spent. Aldi's skincare and beauty products are extremely cheap and value for money, most of the products are inspired by well known beauty brands and are known as 'dupes'. Which is exactly why I decided to test out the Healthy Glow Glycolic Toner which features a light 5% of glycolic acid, meaning it could be used twice daily. Another said although they were sceptical of Aldi skincare at first, the products won them over. They said: “I have been completely won over to the Aldi skincare range. We have selected four of Aldi's skincare products and compared them to their dupes of branded products to see if Aldi really does give them a run for their money.
