Throughout TRIPLE CROSS I longed for more insight into the mind of the killer known as Family Man only to realize that Patterson stays away from just that subject matter as a way to keep the subterfuge going. The end result is a baffling, puzzling case with double and triple crosses thrown in for good measure, that will keep loyal readers happy and entertain new readers hopefully to the point where they will seek out each of the prior twenty-nine novels in what remains one of the best thriller series ever created.
