About this deal

Colecalciferol 1 000 IU is the equivalent of 25 micrograms vitamin D 3, which is involved in bone formation. Always speak to your doctor before you buy Valupak Vitamin D 3 tablets online. Your doctor will be able to advise you whether they are safe for you.

Treatment of vitamin D deficiency or insufficiency in children over 12 years: 1 capsule (1 000 IU) daily depending on the severity of the disease and the patient's response to treatment. It should only be given under medical supervision. Colecalciferol 1 000 IU Capsules are not recommended during pregnancy unless the clinical condition of the woman requires treatment. Deficiency of vitamin D may occur when your diet or lifestyle does not provide you with enough vitamin D or when your body requires more vitamin D (for instance when you are pregnant). The cytotoxic agent actinomycin and imidazole antifungal agents interfere with vitamin D activity by inhibiting the conversion of 25-hydroxyvitamin D to 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D by the kidney enzyme, 25-hydroxyvitamin D-1-hydroxylase. Valupak Vitamin D 3 are vitamin D supplements, available in tablet form. When taking these supplements your body will produce additional calcium, which is responsible for ensuring your bones are healthy and strong. Calcium is especially important in developing children, although should be a lifelong consideration. Vitamin D is also a useful supplement to take to boost your immune system, reducing the chances of contracting the flu or a cold.

Phosphate infusions should not be administered to lower hypercalcaemia of hypervitaminosis D because of the dangers of metastatic calcification. Low dose for maintenance or prevention (only prescribed in exceptional circumstances where self-care is not possible):

Treatment of vitamin D deficiency: 1-4 capsules (1 000- 4 000 IU) daily for 10 weeks dependent upon the severity of the disease and the patient's response to treatment, followed by maintenance therapy of 1-2 capsules (1 000- 2 000 IU) daily, as directed by your doctor. Vitamin D is produced in equal amounts in both people with fairly pigmented and darkly pigmented skin after exposure to UVB radiation (sunlight). Sunlight is important for Vitamin D production, but the strength of sunlight and the intensity of UVB exposure can be affected by season, distance from the equator, and even personal habits. If you have a job that keeps you indoors during daylight hours, or you work nights, you don’t produce as much Vitamin D as someone who is outside for at least ten to fifteen minutes each day. Benefits of Vitamin D Public Health England is particularly interested in ensuring more people have enough vitamin D, and it has published advice on why it is important. Rehydration and the treatment with diuretics e.g. furosemide to ensure adequate diuresis should be considered. Additional treatment with calcitonin or corticosteroids can also be considered. The need for additional calcium supplementation should be considered for individual patients. Calcium supplements should be given under close medical supervision. Vitamin D has been linked to the prevention of many different diseases, including multiple sclerosis, arthritis and even cancer. Children with higher vitamin D levels are less likely to suffer from asthma and allergies than those who are vitamin D deficient. Mental agility might be maintained by adequate levels of the vitamin, especially in the elderly.

These tablets could also be beneficial to those working indoors during the day or people who are housebound and unable to get into their garden. You mayy have also been advised by your GP to take low dose vitamin D long term if you have previously suffered with low vitamin D.
