I pretended she was like 25 the whole time because anytime a character is under 21 with at least a 5 year age gap between her and the guy it feels wrong to me. I adore Jescie’s poetic writing style. She is so descriptive with every scene, and I can always see what is going on and paint a clear picture in my mind of the scene playing out. I have read every single one of her books, and I won’t stop staring her stories. ❤️

Overall, I enjoyed That Sik Luv, and I would recommend it to fans of dark romance. However, I would caution readers who are sensitive to triggering topics to proceed with caution.

From author Jescie Hall, comes this dark and demanding stalker romance that pushes all the boundaries of exploring sexuality while simultaneously exposing the harsh realities of organized religion. Seriously this book has had so much hype, so many people have obsessed over this book. I read what it was about and I was honestly so excited to read it, as it honestly has everything in it I love reading!!!! (Pulling my hair in frustration) Overall, That Sik Luv is a well-written and thought-provoking novel. It is not for everyone, but it is sure to appeal to fans of dark romance. I would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a unique and challenging read.

this book is compared to our favorite duet and it shouldn't be. aero is sinister and a deeply troubled character and as such he behaves completely different. do i think his obsession/love for briony is less than bc of that? no. i think the end of this book and everything coming out ab her heritage and baret quite literally prove that if nothing else did How judgemental Cole is at the start. This annoyed me about her where you see her inner dialogue that she is extremely unfair to Cam based on her perception of his character. But he calls her out on her shit and once she realises she has been unfair, changes. I liked this book. It has everything you could want in a contemporary romance novel. It has good writing, drama, sweet moments, angst, and of course, the smexy scenes. It will pull on your heartstrings too.
