About this deal

This is as good as it can get on this monitor, an average of 2.6ms of Rise/Fall with no overshoot at 280hz is peak performance for high refresh rate IPS panels Approximate width of the display. If the manufacturer does not provide such information, the width is calculated from the diagonal and the aspect ratio. From my experience a decent amount of overshoot can be easily hidden by the BFI duration, with Dyac Premium the only important part of each transition is the last 17% of a 4.17ms window, so if you overshoot at 50% and stabilize the transition at 75% you will not see any overshoot.

Can you update about the omen x 25? Im thinking of buying it because im looking for a monitor with the best motion clarity without ulmb, but i saw a couple of ppl complains that the monitor have massive input lag. This monitor is still not Freesync certified to this day, the 144hz version of this exact same monitor, the VG259Q, is Freesync certified. Here's a picture from the review I mentioned, clearly visible whitish/bluish coronas, that's exactly what I saw on both of mine XL2546K's. It was fine for CS:GO, but for example in Aim Lab practice this level of overshoot was distracting, while OD80 on VG259QM is totally fine for both CS:GO and Aim Lab. As a premise I want to specify that this secret overdrive, as far as you might erroneously tell by the name, doesn't scale linearly in terms of overshoot, it actually provides less overshoot than OD80 and OD100, this is extremely good at 280hz, at this refresh rate OD60 provides no overshoot with the downside of slow dark transitions and OD80 has no ghosting but suffers from noticeable overshoot. Adaptive Sync OFF (It truly comes down to personal preference, I find that at 280hz tearing is very very hard to notice, much less than at 240hz)The difference between Dyac and Dyac+ is only the panel used, both the XL2546K and the XL2546S are marketed as Dyac+. Thank you antiblur, I must admit that after using the XV252QF for around ~10months I still consider this monitor a solid product, I highly recommend you to get your hands on a 4khz/8khz mouse, the difference compared to 1000hz will be very noticeable due to a big reduction in asynchronicity induced jitters.

If you spot any errors, broken links or have suggestions on other models we should consider adding please get in touch. They tested at 280hz and the % inside the 3.57ms window is actually 100%, the amount of overshoot is just 8.6%( which is inflated by a single bad transition from 0 to 20) , which is actually quite good and barely noticeable both ingame and during motion testings. On the K model when you set Brightness to 100, Dyac OFF, Dyac High and Dyac Premium can all achieve the same max brightness. Due to having every single discussion about this monitor scattered around many different and often unrelated threads I decided to create this thread with the sole purpose of sharing settings and tips for the VG259QM. Full HD Resolution: With a 1080P Full HD resolution, games and media look crisp and vibrant on this 27-inch screen, and it's not overly demanding on your graphics card. As such, we’d opt for ELMB over HDR. Turning off ELMB lets you use the overdrive and works well but it isn’t as good as using ELMB. If you only need one reason to buy the VG259QM, it’s for the ability to run Adaptive-Sync and ELMB together.
