The AOC CU34G3S boasts a fast response time of 1 ms, minimizing motion blur and ghosting, resulting in clear and crisp visuals during fast-paced action. With a contrast ratio of 3000:1, the monitor delivers high levels of contrast between bright and dark elements on the screen, enhancing the overall visual experience. They also announced the KTC M32P10S, the first 32″ 4K 165Hz mini LED gaming monitor with a VA panel.
The dynamic contrast shows the ratio between the brightest and the darkest color, which the display can reproduce over time, for example, in the course of playing a video. The CU34G3S is quite accurate out of the box in its Standard mode and Warm color temp with Game Mode turned off. Trying various settings, including the User color temp, produced no gains in performance. It is best to leave the monitor on its default settings and set brightness to taste. I’ve provided the settings for commonly used levels below. If you want the sRGB color gamut, there’s an option for SDR content among the color temp settings. It renders that smaller gamut to near perfection. It’s based on an IPS panel with a fast 1ms GtG pixel response time speed, a wide 98% DCI-P3 color gamut and DisplayHDR 600 certification, indicating a peak brightness of 600-nits and some sort of (most likely edge-lit) local dimming. It features a dedicated G-SYNC module with Nvidia Reflex Latency Analyzer, a stand design with retractable legs, Enhanced Vibrance Mode (improved feature for increasing color saturation), and an ESS USB codec for zero latency audio, surround sound and enhanced gun-shot/footstep audio.

Probably wont go to far out of my way to test some oddly specific thing. Gaming proved to be an extreme pleasure. The CU34G3S has balanced performance with smooth motion and very low input lag. Though it didn’t blow my tests away (it was solidly average in response and lag scores), it matched my play rhythm with no perceivable lag and no loss of detail in fast-moving sequences. I always go straight to Doom Eternal’s Horde Mode and in this case, I ripped through the first few arenas in seemingly record time. The extra peripheral information certainly helped, and having it closer to my eye was a plus. Curved design wraps around you putting you at the center of the action and provides an immersive gaming experience, as if you were sitting inside a race car.The second-gen Samsung QD-OLED panel also uses a slightly different subpixel layout for better text clarity, which will in addition to the display’s high pixel density minimize text fringing associated with these panels. It also has a semi-glossy screen finish for clearer image quality in comparison to matte coatings.
