About this deal

When Kandi isn’t writing, you can find her reading books of all kinds, planning her next adventure, or pole dancing (yes, you read that right). She enjoys live music, traveling, hiking, yoga, playing with her fur babies and soaking up the sweetness of life. just makes sense. you’re practically whiskey on legs, anyway. the color of your hair, your eyes, the way you smell — it’s like your spirit drink.” I was water, he was whiskey, and I couldn’t dilute him — not now that I knew he loved me enough to let me. I needed to be stronger, to be ice the next time I melted with him.” I saw him first, but it didn’t matter. Because he saw her.” // “But she was wrong about one very, crucial point. I didn’t see Jenna first. I saw her. I just didn’t think she saw me.” pain

Overall, I will definitely recommend reading the Fifth Anniversary Edition of 'A Love Letter to Whiskey'- experiencing B’s POV & then getting Jamie’s POV after definitely did make my experience a FULL one. I don’t know how I would have survived reading only B’s POV…IYKYK.The first part is told from B's pov and the ending left me with nothing but with a broken heart and yet I was happy for their ending. And the second part is from Jamie's pov and I loved reading his pov because I realised that it's always has been B for him and no one else. This book has cheating trope but they didn't cheated on each other but on their partners and all the while I hate this trope but Kandi wrote it in such a way that all I ever wanted was them to be together no matter what way they could be. Jaime + B are the definition of IT’S ONLY EVER YOU. Their love is magnetic, euphoric, all encompassing. It’s like falling in love for the first time. Walking into a house on fire knowing you will get burned, but craving the pain. Their love is good and bad. jamie shaw will forever hold a place in my heart. also the SPICE. mr shaw🤭🦋literally on my knees for you. i’m also so thankful i read this at a time where ‘love, whiskey’ existed because it made ALLTW so much more perfect. it would’ve felt so incomplete had i not had that to read after even though those 11 chapters pained me more than the entirety of ALLTW did. like i said below, i hate yet love this book with every fiber of my being. it is so phenomenal its insane. I loved the way it felt that night. My heart was broken — completely, utterly shattered — and I liked the way that pain felt. It reminded me I was alive, filled me with hope that what we had was real — even if it had technically never truly existed.” A Love Letter to Whiskey is 𝐨𝐥𝐝 𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐬𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐤𝐞𝐩𝐭 𝐦𝐞 𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐬.” — 𝘕𝘦𝘸 𝘠𝘰𝘳𝘬 𝘛𝘪𝘮𝘦𝘴 𝘉𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘈𝘶𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘳 Penelope Ward⁣You will savor Whiskey to the very last drop, and the hangover will be worth every heart-wrenching second. Steiner’s writing is as smooth as scotch, as heady as whiskey, with a sweet afterburn that will leave you addicted. — Bestselling Author Staci Hart Stalk Kandi Love, Whiskey (a brand new novella from Jamie's point of view -- 50,000 words of new content, including an extended epilogue) I was spinning, tipsy, teetering on the edge of being wasted on Whiskey. I’d dreamed of kissing Jamie so many times, but nothing could compare to how it really felt.

This is one long, drawn out love story. I’m an angst addict, and yet this tension-filled drama felt a bit overkill even to me. I enjoyed the special moments B and Jamie share, but the timing is never right for them, and their on-again/off-again relationship left me exhausted. I was frequently confused by their choices and the weak excuses that kept them apart.I feel like this review has been a lot of rambling and I’m not giving this story the type of review it deserves. It’s because my emotions are This was, hands down, one of THE most frustrating and exhausting books I've read this year if not ever. The main character is DEFINITELY on of THE most annoying, and she just keeps getting worse and worse. so, you see, b was right about a few things when she told you about the first time we met. but she was wrong about one very, crucial point. i didn’t see jenna first. i saw her. i just didn’t think she saw me.”

I think, my first mistake, was going into this with high hopes, I've heard it was so good I wouldn't be able to put it down, that the angst was phenomenal and I wouldn't regret it, and as a self-proclaimed angst-whore there wasn't much to be said to convince me.... This book thaught me to be careful who I trust next time. That, to me, is what writing is about—trying to capture those feelings that we all feel, and bring them into words that maybe others couldn’t before.” It was just him — the old friend, the easy smile, the twisted solace wrapped in a glittering bottle. But If you hate cheating tropes and the one where it happens so many time and they both become toxic then may be you won't like this book. But if you love the book filled with angst, sweet and yet heart wrenching story about two people who are so right for each other but can't be together just because the timing and all then this book is for you.Because that’s what life’s about. It’s about paddling out and fighting the waves until you find the perfect one to ride home on." I read romance because it’s fun to fall in love. And with romance books, I get to do it over and over. I get to be different types of lovers, I get to feel the heartbreak of love and the successes. Love is the most powerful and real emotion we feel, and I think it’s sort of magical that we can experience some of the greatest loves of all time through books” While it was nice to get Jamie's side of their romance to clear up just a couple of things, it was all too redundant, which irritated me. It ended nicely, albeit a bit dragged out. Overall, I really enjoyed the story. I highly recommend you read this book if you have it sitting in your tbr pile.
