I’m sorry, but how is it only 1888cal for the whole recipe when the peas themselves are about 1815cal for 1lb? The first time, it was so good. First time having split pea soup, and I suggested the recipe to a friend who loves the soup. Second time, I didn’t eat any of it. Too bland and just didn’t taste good. I blame the parsnips I added. Split pea soup will stay good for 3 days or more in the refrigerator. To refrigerate, cool soup to 70°F within two hours, and then down to 41°F (fridge temp) or below within the next four hours.
