The adventure here starts once the kids are in the caverns under The Lighthouse Lounge but it does explain all of the events leading up to that point through its narrative. Legendary Treasures cannot be discarded unless stated and do not count against the 2 Treasure limit.
The Flex Cross Band size L, which is also included in the set, ensures more stability during storage and transport. Looking at, picking up, and exploring each item will unlock new dialogue to read, and sometimes, new rooms, items and mysteries to explore.
However, while we did have a lot of fun it wasn’t a perfect experience, due to some editing issues that had us completely stuck for a good amount of time.
The first 3 missions in the base box take players through the movie, while the last 6 take them on an entirely new adventure. If a Goonie or Foe starts their Turn or Activation Stunned, they skip both their Actions to remove the Stunned Token.It’s still enjoyable as a game but the nostalgia element might be lost on someone who didn’t grow up with it. Note for reasons I don’t want to get into, but that you may be able to guess if you’ve seen the movie, a cap of six players might be even better.
Overall The Goonies: Escape With One-Eyed Willy’s Rich Stuff – A Coded Chronicles Game was a great experience. Players found it challenging trying to communicate strategy as there was no real way to hide plans from the GM.The other players take on the role of the Goonies — Mikey, Mouth, Chunk, Data, and Sloth — overcoming cryptic puzzles and deadly challenges with teamwork, strategy, and Data’s clever contraptions! I was excited about this when I realized there were plenty of adventures left after escaping from Willie’s ship, the Inferno, just like the Goonies did in the movie. So, if you want to explore the wrench on the floor which has a code is 101 next to it, place a 1 in front of the 101 to make 1101, then read entry 1101 from the characters booklet that is doing the action.

All of this new content fits in perfectly with the existing Goonies canon, none of it felt out of place.
