It’s been reported that the colors of the pad can create differences in the speed and control. These inconsistencies rub buyers the wrong way as this is supposed to be a premium pad and that something like color shouldn’t show such changes. Overall this pad amazing. I would really recommend it to anyone that wants to get into Artisan Pads but they are not sure if they would like the texturing of the Hien. I think this is the Artisan pad that would cater most to the masses that use just regular old cloth mousepads, in my opinion if you are moving from a cloth pad to an artisan this is the safest option. Compared to other great pads like Lethal Gaming Gear, Vaxee, and the Esports Tiger lineup, Artisan pads are priced very competitively. I don't think the model o is the problem, but maybe I can upgrade it to a RVU, still think that problem is the old mm300On the bright side, the stitched edges are below the surface of the mousepad so you won’t feel the edges as your arm is gliding across. This can also reduce future fraying of the edges and improve the lifespan on your Artisan pad. I felt the Zowie P-CMs glide was slower, though the smaller base makes it seem like you can force a swipe faster without feeling lagged. Of course there seems to be mixed opinion with the CM series. So take that as you want~ The only real con about this pad is that dust and hair get into the weave really easily, but this can be taken care of with a lint roller. Doesn't affect performance unless you simply just never clean the pad.

If you want something slow you could try the Allsop Raindrop XL, I can't really think of any other slow control oriented pads. Are Artisan pads worth the hype? Yes. On the bottom, Artisan uses a unique rubber design that feels less texturized than other pads.
