At first glance, the idea of Robert Downey, Jr. playing the wealthy playboy and industrialist Tony Stark, whose superhero alter ego is essentially a weaponized metal suit, seems like an improbable match. But much like how the public initially shrugged off Michael Keaton in Tim Burton's Batman thirty years ago, moviegoers and comic book fans everywhere were pleasantly surprised by the actor. Of course, part of the movie's success comes from Downey and the filmmakers tailoring the character to better fit his talents. As an arrogant and boastful billionaire with a witty, snarky tongue to match, the adaptation is both a departure from the source material and amazingly faithful. Specifically, the story retains the character's troubled and estranged relationship with his father as a major part of his personality. And the filmmakers take advantage of this when seeing Stark change his worldview. beast it could be. Dialogue is at least clear and center focused with some examples of Jarvis' digital voice finding a greater sense of immersive space in the UHD's textural superiority, even if it's just a result of a raw resolution boost. It's well detailed; it's just not as dramatic as it might have been under Robert Downey Jr. Screen Test (6:01; 1080p): As the title implies, this video features the actor’s famous screen test. It includes tests of the Vegas reporter scene, in addition to early versions of the convoy scene, as well as Rhodey’s confrontation with Tony after the dogfight.
