The Camp Chef Flat Top Grill was ready to cook right out the box. In my experiences, when you get a piece of cooking equipment that comes pre-seasoned, rather than having to season it yourself, the seasoning seems to stay more consistent over time. And so far that’s what’s been happening with my Camp Chef Flat Top Griddle. I just added a little seasoning to start and eggs were sliding all around the griddle.
