About this deal

Adapted from Cecelia Ahern’s 2004 bestselling novel Where Rainbows End, the 2014 romantic comedy Love, Rosie follows childhood best friends Rosie (Lily Collins) and Alex (Sam Claflin) as they dance around their feelings for each other for more than a decade. Having grown up forging an unbreakable bond built on trust, shared dreams and a deep understanding and appreciation of each other’s peccadillos, the friends together agree to leave their dull, suburban English lives behind for the bright lights and possibilities that Boston has to offer. For Rosie, it’s to pursue hotel management in a quest to own her own hotel one day. For Alex, it’s a Harvard scholarship to study medicine. I am a quiet, introverted young lady who loves to hide her face in a book, and indulge in sharp intakes of breath from a new book. Currently Reading: I’m writing you this letter because I know that if I say what I have to say to your face I will probably punch you.

Alex's father wants him to go to Harvard to study Medicine and he convinces Rosie to take the hotel management course at Boston University. Rosie gets a call from Boston University and runs to tell Alex. Alex and Bethany were making love and her loud moaning makes Rosie nauseous and she ends up puking. Rosie goes to a local chemist to find out and discovers that she is pregnant despite taking the pill. I've never ever been so frustrated in my life. I hated this book so much it has become one of my favourites. Love, Rosie follows childhood best friends Rosie (Lily Collins) and Alex (Sam Claflin) as they dance around their feelings for each other for more than a decade. Photograph: Jonathan Hession/Publicity image from film companyThe movie on the other hand was how the book should've been written, slowly paced enough so you could fall for the characters but not so slow that you lost interest. This is definitely a case where I like the movie better than the book. There were hundreds of them spread across the floor, each telling its own tale of triumph or sadness, each letter representing a phase in her life. She had kept them all.” overall, i truly enjoyed this novel! i'm surprised at how invested i was into the story – finishing it in three days even though i was quite busy in my ~real~ life. i do think it could've been a bit MORE at some parts, but i still find it enjoyable and nice. i'm glad it put my mind into perspective of things, and now i'm off to watch the movie and perhaps write some letters.

Bethany Williams: Alex's second wife. She was his first girlfriend in high school, but were reunited years later. They have a son named Theo. Rosie never liked her. What I really loved about this book was the kids. Katie, Toby and Josh. Their letters/postcards/whatever were so funny and sweet, all their grammatical errors made me laugh my lungs out! I am not scared any more, Rosie. I am not afraid to try. I no what the feeling was at your wedding - it was jealousy. My heart broke when I saw the woman I love turning away from me to walk down the aisle with another man, a man she planned to spend the rest of her life with. It was like a prison sentence for me - years stretching ahead without me being able to tell you how I feel or hold you how I wanted to. The characters are brilliantly written and fleshed out, the plot is basic but becomes convoluted when other people get involved, and there are such cute moments I wanted to squish my own cheeks! She bumps into Bethany one day and the information of the baby gets passed on to Alex. In an impromptu visit, he comes down to see her. He asks Rosie if he can be Katie's Godfather. Rosie is visibly overwhelmed.P.S. Thinking about Sam Claflin helped a lot. He looks so damn perfect for Alex's role I can't wait to watch the movie *SWOOOOOON* I HAVE TO write this book review but it's gonna be so hard! I have billions of notes on my e-reader I think I'll end up not writing it at all. OH MY GOD, THIS IS MUCH MORE FRUSTRATING THAN THE WHOLE BOOK WAS.] You deserve someone who loves with every single beat of his heart, someone who thinks about you constantly, someone who spends every minute of every day just wondering what you’re doing, where you are, who you’re with and if you’re OK. The crossed out messages that they really wanted to say but instead said something else, I thought was a really nice touch.

After all, soulmates always end up together. Silly Bethany won't even be remembered then. Ex-girlfriends are easily forgotten. Best friends stay with you for ever.” She gets into Boston University, Alex gets into Harvard, and everything is falling into place, when on the eve of her departure, Rosie gets news that will change their lives forever: She’s pregnant by a boy she’d gone out with while on the rebound from Alex. Volver a releer este libro fue una de las mejores decisiones que tomé últimamente. Amo esta historia y a sus personajes con todo mi corazón. Forgotten the title or the author of a book? Our BookSleuth is specially designed for you. Visit BookSleuthYou deserve someone who loves you with every single beat of his heart, someone who thinks about you constantly, someone who spends every minute of every day just wondering what you’re doing, where you are, who you’re with, and if you’re OK. You need someone who can help you reach your dreams and protect you from your fears. You need someone who will treat you with respect, love every part of you, especially your flaws. You should be with someone who could make you happy, really happy, dancing on air happy.” Rosie and Alex are destined for one another, and everyone seems to know it but them. Best friends since childhood, their relationship gets closer by the day, until Alex gets the news that his family is leaving Dublin and moving to Boston. At 17, Rosie and Alex have just started to see each other in a more romantic light. Devastated, the two make plans for Rosie to apply to colleges in the U.S. The answer to the question right above my spoiler tag? Apparently you can ignore that little voice inside your head until you are F-ING FIFTY!!!! 50!

Just what I'd needed! I guess sometimes you need to squeeze in a light read inbetween all the dark and tense ones! ;) From the bestselling author of PS, I Love You comes a delightfully enchanting novel about what happens when two people who are meant to be together just can't seem to get it right.

I, also surprisingly, found the ending of the MOVIE to be more fulfilling than the book's ending. While in the book they are both 50, Rosie's at her hotel and Alex is now divorced and coming to FINALLY admit his love for her, it ends with just Rosie hearing a familiar voice. That's it. 50 years of following their story (It honestly felt like I had 50 years taken from me) and it doesn't end with a, "I've always loved you. Spend the rest of your life with me!" It ends with Rosie just hearing Alex's voice and telling us that it was one that she has known for all her life. I loved Alex. He was such a good friend to Rosie. He has always been there for her. But I do have to say he was a coward. He has feelings for her, but didn't want to act up on it. Both of them were cowards actually, but still, he's the guy!!!! What the hell Alex? What the freakin hell? You could have save all Rosie all those tears and pain and rejection. Rosie's Parents - I absolutely adore the fact that Cecelia wrote about them, however small it was. I almost died on the inside when her father passed, then Rosie received the letter from him. I definitely teared up and kept asking myself, ' WHY ARE YOU EVEN CRYING?! IT'S JUST A LETTER!' *Proceeds to weep into book* Greg - You're a loser, and deserved to get your butt handed to you. Bank business trips my booty. WHAT IS EVEN A BANK BUSINESS TRIP?! A delightfully dishy novel about the all-time most impossible boss in the history of impossible bosses.
