About this deal

Mostly smooth yet textured surface that focuses on a medium glide speed with adequate stopping power On to the most important aspect of a mousepad, then: the glide. There’s no doubt that the Saturn Pro is a control pad. There’s a lot of static friction, and it takes quite a bit of force to get your mouse moving for a big swipe. Once you’re moving it flows rather effortlessly, though. It’s nothing like a dedicated speed pad of course, but the gliding feeling is way smoother than what you get on dedicated control pads like the ZOWIE G-SR. The new Poron base allows for the user to customize the feeling of their pad by choosing how firm or soft the base is. With a little preparation and some simple steps, you can enjoy better control and performance like the pros. Having the right mousepad can be crucial for consistent gameplay and make a huge difference to your performance which can be especially important in fast-paced games where split-second decisions can make all the difference.

When you're looking to switch out your skates, you’ll need to choose replacements that fit your specific model of mouse due to each mouse having a different layout on its base where the skates are installed. The exception being brands who use the same mouse chassis for multiple models, but that will be mentioned on the skates product description. I know that these things are subjective, so whether you like this gliding experience or not will depend on your personal preferences, but for me this is very close to perfection. The Saturn Pro doesn’t feel like it has to make compromises. There is a30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return. As a little side note: the glide of cloth pads can be affected by a number of factors, including how clean the surface is, the humidity in the air, the age of the pad, and your playing style. As such, your experience with a certain mousepad can be drastically different from what someone else is experiencing. This makes the search for a perfect pad a little bit more difficult, but it’s not as if a control pad is suddenly going to turn into a speed pad or anything like that, so hopefully this guide aids you in your choice. This list is, as we mentioned before, based on what the professionals are using. What you’ll see here is that most pros are using fairly large mouse pads, at least when compared to regular office mats. That’s because the overall sensitivity/ eDPIof pro (shooter) players is way lower than that of most casual gamers. This gives them way more control over their aim and overall just makes for a more consistent and reliable aiming experience when compared to extremely high sensitivities where it’s nearly impossible to make any micro adjustments to the aiming reticle. Even if you feel like you don’t need a large mousepad we would recommend getting one if you have the space for it; it’s always better to have some spare space for your mouse movements than to have to run into the edge of your playing surface in the heat of battle.

Games

People often think that all cloth mousepads have the exact same glide, but that’s a common misconception. The Zowie G-SR is living proof of that. When compared to (most) other cloth gaming mousepads this one offers a very controlling glide with a pretty large amount of surface friction. This won’t please everyone (then again, no product does) but it is a great option for people who have a tendency to use large, aggressive swipes or for gamers who often find themselves overshooting their target. You can use the spudger or knife on its own without using the hairdryer, especially if you're unsure of how long to heat the feet up by. This may leave traces of glue on the bottom of the mouse however, which will need to be removed before attaching the new mouse feet. It’s very obvious that the Saturn Pro is a high quality product. Thanks to the supple materials used and the fact that it ships flat rather than rolled up, the pad lays perfectly flat on your desk right from the very first time that you put it down. Size: With an XL mousepad, you won't have to worry about your mouse running off the edge of the pad during intense gaming sessions. You can also keep your keyboard on the pad, providing a consistent surface for both your keyboard and mouse as well as absorbing those keystrokes. Professional shooter gamers might gravitate towards (more controlling) cloth pads, but there are droves of people out there who have a need for speed. If you’re one of those people then you should look at the SkyPAD 3.0. Its smooth surface is just about the fastest you can find out there, and while we certainly wouldn’t recommend this to people who are just finding their footing in the world of gaming mousepads it’s undoubtedly a pad that’s great at what it sets out to do.

Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error Once you have your replacement mouse skates in hand, it's now time to remove your old ones from the base of the mouse. There are a few different methods to do this, but we’ll cover the main, most reliable method (in our opinion):

Pro Lists

Lastly there’s also the fact that a gaming mousepad is generally better for the long term health of your mouse. If you’ve got yourself a shiny new gaming mouseyou don’t want to be sanding down the feet of your mouse by sliding it around on a wooden desk or a plastic cutting board you’ve found in the kitchen, for example.

A gaming mousepad can be compared to the tires of a race car if you’re asking us. You can have the fastest car on the circuit with the best driver behind the wheel, but if you slap a pair of old and worn out tires underneath the car you won’t be seeing a lot of wins. The mousepad is a piece of kit that’s often ignored by the more casual gaming audience, but that really shouldn’t be the case. There are many different pads out there, all with different specifications and characteristics, so it’s definitely a good idea to find one that matches your preferences and playing style. You’ll not only increase your personal playing comfort but you’ll also increase your performance. Plenty of professionals use a special customized version of a certain pad with a team logo or gamer tag on the surface, but those pads are essentially all the same when it comes to the overall specifications and performance, so we added those to the count of their unbranded/non-customized versions. These special colorways and personal editions usually have the logos and names added to the pad by sublimation, so the glide isn’t affected at all. Logitech G640 Before applying the grip tape, it is essential to clean your mouse to remove any dirt or oils that may interfere with the grip tape's adhesion. Use a soft cloth and rubbing alcohol to gently clean the surface of your mouse, taking care not to damage the coating. Make sure to remove all the dirt and oil residues, especially around the edges of your mouse. Material: Made from cloth with a soft and smooth texture providing a comfortable and consistent glide for the mouse, allowing for smooth and precise movements during gameplay. Additionally, cloth mousepads tend to have a more forgiving surface than hard mousepads, which can help to reduce wrist strain and fatigue during extended gaming sessions. Once you have removed all the old skates from the base your mouse, give the surface a clean by using rubbing alcohol (Isopropyl). This will remove any excess adhesive that may still be present. Leave the mouse to dry, and then it's time to apply the new ones.Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Perishable goods such as food, flowers, newspapers or magazines cannot be returned. We also do not accept products that are intimate or sanitary goods, hazardous materials, or flammable liquids or gases. Mousepads come in all sorts of shapes and sizes, and it’s mainly up to you to figure out which one is going to be right for you. All of the pads in this article are going to be doing exactly what they need to do when it comes to sensor performance and what not so it’s mainly a job of figuring out what suits you. If you’re completely unsure we would recommend you to go for a nice middle-of-the-road cloth pad to start out with. Finally, once the grip tape is properly applied, use a sharp hobby knife or scissors to trim any excess grip tape from around the edges of your mouse. Trimming the edges gives your mouse a clean and finished look.

You might think that you can just use any ol’ mousepad (or even just play on your desk) but that’s not true, at least not for shooter games. In MOBAs (where mouse precision is of less importance) we do see some pros who don’t use a mousepad, but over 99% of professional shooter players are using a gaming mousepad over a regular office pad. These days, I am a fan of controlling mousepads. I used to gravitate towards speed a bit more, but with mice becoming a lot lighter and the quality (and speed) of feet improving by leaps and bounds I’ve been moving towards the more controlling side. This pad gives me just enough grip and control when doing small movements and micro adjustments so that I can carry those out with precision, but once I move towards a big swipe there’s nothing of that muddy/sandpaper-like feeling that you often get with control pads.

Guides

What’s also neat is that the softness of the base is very nicely tuned. It’s just hard enough to not bother you (or your mouse glide) when doing regular swipes and using regular amounts of force, but if you apply a bit more pressure to your mouse, the feet will sink into the pad somewhat, giving you an extra element of control. I find this to be incredibly handy for the way I play. I don’t put a ton of force on my mouse when gaming normally, but once I get into a tense situation (spraying in CS:GO, for example, or aiming at particularly small objects) I do tend to use more force. The added control that I get out of the soft surface makes those ‘pinpoint situations’ a lot more precise, and I noticed I was much less prone to whiffing my sprays and what not when using this pad. Mostly smooth yet textured surface that focuses on a medium glide speed with adequate stopping power This method involves using the hairdryer to heat up the glue underneath the mouse feet. Once the glue has been heated long enough, use a spudger (a flat plastic tool with a sharp end) or a knife to scrape underneath the feet to peel them off — be careful if using a knife!
