This smell is more like an early morning run on a crispy but sunny spring day, when you suddenly encounter a lemon tree of an incredible beauty and stop to look at it to appreciate the moment. i just bought this yesterday from rustans, when i was there the tester of rain smelled so pleasant and good and smells just like earthy rain but when i got home the bottle i bought smelled citrusy and doesnt smell like what i smelled from the tester loll, maybe i need to macerate it idk?

It’s not a very “wet” or petrichor smell to me, which is what I would expect for something named Rain. This perfume is perfect for humid, hot days and I agree that it has similar components to Clinique Happy Heart.It is very refreshing at first, but when it dries, it is not that unique any more, and then I got only sweet notes. Overall, the CLEAN Classic Rain fragrance is a refreshing and timeless scent that captures the beauty of nature and the invigorating energy of a spring rain shower. It has more in common with the previous soapy, laundry scents in the Clean roster, like Blonde Rose, Skin and of course, Warm Cotton.

Longetivity is outstanding, sillage is very good, though its not in your face, and surely very unique. It smelled nice enough on test paper, but on my skin, it skewed very male with a bitter, almost antiseptic note. As for the scent itself, it really does smell like rain, but more of a summer rain storm when you're walking through a woods, the patchouli really gives this a pleasant wet soil type nuance and there is something a bit salty running through this from beginning to end as well, I cannot really pick out the other notes bar the patchouli, but it does smell wonderful and fresh. I don’t know what causes it it but sometimes the fragrance will change to this weird, rancid melon smell that can only be described as a cucumber melon lotion I had that was 6 years too old and the fragrance inside it went bad. Fragrances must address our feelings, underline our personality - and celebrate unique moments of our sensual experiences.Even as I've been getting more into perfume with other luxury and niche scents this remains a favorite. i would have liked it better with addition of hints of grass notes, less white flowers and musk, more waterlily and aquatic notes. for me i smelt melon, watery aquatic notes, then a hit of *strong* daisies and white flowers, maybe magnolia, honeysuckle or narcissus.
