With everything self-contained in the pod, you simply put it in your brewer, brew, and then take it out and dispose of it. If you’re looking for delicious, high-quality espresso, you may be pleasantly surprised by this device. The espresso we created was rich and complex, with a full body and an appealing aroma. If you’re on the road a lot, studying in libraries or merely changing offices regularly throughout the day, the Nanopresso was a neat gadget that’s used with minimal fuss. All you need is access to hot water and some kind of stable surface to set everything up. For those battery-powered brewers, many do not hold a lot of charge. Usually, each full charge brews you only a small amount of coffee, no more than 3-5 cups. Main Body: The main body connects the bottom and top parts of the Minipresso. It also hosts the holder, where you place your coffee pod. The insides of the holder area have sharp blades, which means you want to be careful here. Put on the main body. Place it on top of the water tank and twist it slightly. In look, price, and experience, the Nanopresso couldn’t be further than the top of the range espresso machines we’ve reviewed. And yet the taste is almost on par. It is more of a faff, it does involve boiling water and finding a flat spot if you’re outside, but the end result is seriously impressive. Water Tank: You fill the tank with hot water to brew your espresso. A line on the inner surface indicates the maximum amount of water. Avoid filling over to avoid leakages or difficulty closing up the tank cap.

I usually have to prepare a piece of cloth to wipe the excess coffee ground off my Minipresso GR. Using the Minipresso GR is definitely a messier process than the NS. Sturdy

Add coffee grounds to the filter basket and place it on top of the machine’s body. Screw on the extraction head, keeping the device vertical. Then fill the bottom cup with hot water, carefully screw the whole thing together, and get your cup ready. Instead of 7 pieces, as in the Minipresso GR, I only have 5 with the GR. Gone are the portafilter basket and the coffee ground scoop. In turn, I see these instead: If you use the Minipresso NS daily, perhaps you can simply rinse them for most usages. I can’t say this for the Minipresso NS. Underneath the pod holder are some sharp blades arranged in a circle inside. These blades are cut into the coffee pod to start the brewing process. These sharp blades are necessary, but they can also be a bit of a hazard, especially during cleaning. Just be a bit careful when cleaning the area to avoid injuring yourself. Slightly Challenging Brewing ProcessIf there is one thing to complain about the Minipresso NS, it is the difficulty cleaning it thoroughly. This is because there are quite a number of parts to clean to start with. There’s the main body, caps, and the water tank. One concern about many portable coffee brewers is their usability. Some lower-quality portable brewers end up feeling flimsy to operate and do not inspire much confidence. Start pumping. It may take about 8-10 pumps to build enough pressure inside the Minipresso NS. Once there’s enough pressure, you should see the first few drops of espresso.
