About this deal

Hope this review helps! My 2 yr old daughter and I will get equal enjoyment and relaxation from this planetarium projector - if you’re considering one that is a scientifically accurate depiction of the images projected as opposed to just a star projector that displays inconspicuous arrangements of twinkling lights - you wont be disappointed. There are plenty of disc options featuring the universe, Earth is our home, we need to treat it with care and respect. So we apply innovative methods in all steps of our production process to contribute to a greener tomorrow. We start with a low-carbon design using energy-efficient ways. All our materials, including ABS and PC, are recyclable. POCOCO founded by Anna, a mother of two girls, stands for empowerment and authenticity. Our goal is to bring inner calm through comfort. We believe everyone can find their genuine self in their unique space firmly, free from doubt or the need to please others. By immersing in the peace of the universe and nature, we embrace our real, imperfect selves. When the galaxy shines, you'll shine together. Cant speak to the longevity of the bulb or part components, however, with a price point that sits ~100 dollars below the comparable The fact that it is rechargeable is a plus compared to the much more expensive Sega Toys Homestar Flux as it means you aren't limited to keeping it near a power source. The colored design might not be for everyone, but it's still quite discrete, and a white option is available for an additional cost.

Each of the individual disks come in their own plastic case. We can't help but think there would be a more environmentally friendly way to store them safely. (Image credit: Tantse Walter) If you're looking for something that is more abstract than scientific but will help 'set the mood,' the BlissLights Sky Lite Evolve is a much cheaper alternative. You can use the RCBW (Red, Cyan, Blue and White) color wheel and seamless color blending technology to personalize the 'aurora' and transform your room. The projector emits bright nebula-inspired patterns and allows users to create unique pastel hues alongside optional LED stars. Controlled by the BlissLights app or by voice using Google/Alexa devices — you don't have to move from your seat to change the feel of your space. It is simple enough to change the disks, they only fit one way around so your projections are always the right way up. For a non-scientific projector, consider the BlissLights Sky Lite Evolve. This projector's primary purpose is to create an exciting, colorful atmosphere for parties, bedrooms, gaming rooms and beyond. Like the Pococo, it has a small, discreet, spherical design, and you can control the lights and lasers using a Smartphone app. We think the Pococo Galaxy projector is a great, reasonably priced buy. It does what it is supposed to — it projects high-quality imagery onto any surface to immerse you in the wonders of what the universe has to offer, maintaining a static picture or slowly rotating image. The projections from this little projector are undoubtedly bright, sharp and vivid. The center wheel at the top is easy enough to turn with one finger to bring the images into focus. There is enough 'movement' in the focus wheel for projections at a range of distances. The ideal distance is 2.5m with a 12-meter squared projection area. The Pococo Galaxy is a simple, pleasant shape. The model we reviewed had a blue and pink paint job but it's also available in white. (Image credit: Tantse Walter)

A photo of a projection of Mars using the Pococo projector. You can see how vivid the colors are. (Image credit: Tantse Walter) The design quality is top notch, it really projects at HD quality. The galaxy scenes and colors are incredibly vivid and realistic. You can see every detail of the galaxy and stars unlike other room projectors that blurs or greys out. I also like how it rotates slowly like watching a real constellation, and how you can switch them out whenever you want based on your mood. I settled on this one based on the mid level price point without compromising on the key benefits that a planetarium offers as opposed to a star projector. This projector is bright, has a great range of focus, is easy to stabilize, insert and remove discs, clean the lens and discs and not smudge them upon insertion, can be charged and removed for use without the cord making for a great portable or outdoor projection option when at places outside of just home, is aesthetically appealing in the pink and blue ombré, can use a number of disc brands including the plethora available for the orzorz star projector (note - la view discs are not compatible with this product, however). This was a key reason I went with this option as it provides for a plethora of additional disc options to choose from on the market that isn’t isolated to this manufacturer alone. Bedroom and Living Spaces: Let the universe be your guide to relaxation in your bedroom. Drift off to sleep under a canopy of stars, creating an enchanting ambiance. In living spaces, Galaxy projectors elevate the aesthetics, providing both a visual spectacle and functional decor.

Despite the pleasant 'in-hand' appearance, we didn't like the choice of wording for some of the online marketing, for example: The most similar model to the Pococo is the Orzors Galaxy Lite Home Planetarium Star Projector. As mentioned earlier, it is effectively the same tech in a different body, so we'd recommend choosing whichever is cheaper. If you liked the Panamalar Nebula Star Projector, other major vendors of that design include Blisslights, which makes it in different style housings and colors to fit your decor.

If you're looking for alternative star projectors, we have a complete best star projectors buying guide where we've scouted out the best models and ranked them according to our preferences. As a projector, this Pococo model serves its purpose exceptionally well. The images projected are crystal clear — once you've focused them — bright and vivid. If you're projecting onto a close proximity surface, the projection will appear in quite a prominent circle. The further away you move the projector, the less harsh the circular edge will appear, resulting in a far more immersive experience. Laser-simulated star projector: This uses a bright green laser diode with a diffracting mirror to split the light into thousands of smaller beams to create a rotating simulated star field. The magic begins with a collection of high-quality optical components. These components work together to galaxy projector images of stars, galaxies, and nebulae onto surfaces such as POCOCO Galaxy projector. Optical lenses and mirrors are strategically placed to ensure that the galaxy projector's image appears crisp, clear, and true to life. There are now multiple-star projectors on the market, so many that you might be tempted to go for the cheapest as surely they all must do the same thing?
