Whiskybase B.V. is registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under no. 52072819. If we decide not to exercise or enforce any right or provision of these Terms, such decision shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision. We may sell, license, transfer, assign or in any other way dispose of the Service (including Members) to any third party without any notification to you, e.g. (but without limitation) in connection with any reorganization, restructuring, merger or sale, or other transfer of assets.
The Harmony Collection Intense Arabica is inspired by the Ethiopian Arabica bean. As part of the Sydney media launch for this release, attendees gathered at the Genovese Coffee House in Alexandria, where guests were treated to a wee presentation about the history and traditions of coffee and, in particular, the features of the Arabica bean and Ethiopia’s coffee heritage. Simon James of Genovese Coffee prepared up a specially-brewed pot of Arabica coffee (French Press, 1 part coffee to 14.5 parts water, for the coffee enthusiasts out there), and it didn’t take much imagination to join the dots between the delicious aromas wafting out of the steaming cup and the juicy dram of Intense Arabica sitting alongside. The Macallan Harmony Collection Inspired by Intense Arabica will be available at The Macallan Estate Bar, The Macallan Online Boutiqueand in premium retailers, bars and restaurants around the world from October 2022, with availability in the US from November 2022. Smooth Arabica will be available in The Macallan Airport Boutiques, key airports around the world and China Hainan Island duty free shops from November 2022. Nose: The nose is initially restrained and on the quiet side, needing a bit of teasing. With time and agitation, the unmistakable hints of milk coffee notes arose from the glass, followed by Macallan’s signature spice and fruit. Currants and blueberries featured strongly. Digging under the fruit, the influence of the oak started to emerge more, bringing out dark chocolate and cappuccino notes. The Macallan Harmony Collection Smooth Arabica and The Macallan Harmony Collection Inspired by Intense Arabica celebrate the world of coffee and have been inspired by the Ethiopian Arabica coffee bean. In 2018, The Macallan opened a new chapter in its history with the launch of its award-winning Speyside distillery. Designed by internationally acclaimed architects to promote sustainability, the building takes inspiration from the surrounding ancient Scottish hills. It stands nearby Easter Elchies House, the Highland Manor built in 1700 which is The Macallan's spiritual home and remains the heartbeat of The Macallan's beautiful 485-acre Estate. Our Service is an online platform which provides Members with information (e.g. bottle facts, market-indices, market values and prices) on (mostly) whisky and allows Members to add information to the platform. We do not sell, nor does the Service provide any option to buy, any alcoholic products. Scottish coffee roaster, Lisa Lawson, said: "Today, people have a greater understanding of coffee, they know the vocabulary, they know what they like, and with whisky it's the same. At the time of writing, we don’t know the release date of The Macallan Harmony Inspired by Intense Arabica and The Macallan Harmony Smooth Arabica. We’re waiting on Macallan to confirm at what point the ballot for them will go live. However, we suspect it will be at some point towards the end of October or the start of November in 2022. To create the coffee-inspired second edition of The Harmony Collection, I sought out intense notes in The Macallan's traditional sherry seasoned European oak casks that would offer the rich and satisfying elements of coffee, with the influence of sherry seasoned American oak casks adding sweeter and softer vanilla notes for a balanced and rounded experience.
