I have wide feet as well and they don’t dig into my feet or toes at all which I contribute to the laces as they fit around your foot rather than you have to squeeze into them. All measurements in the size charts are examples and the actual measurements may be slightly different depending on manufacturer, style or purpose of use. I tried the "Blaire" sandals but because of my feet being wide the straps were not comfortable at all and I think even with breaking them in I wouldn't find them comfy.

One would expect to be leather, instead they are made of pure rubber just like most Fitflop's sandals brand. It strikes a look with gladiator-style laces which climb up the ankle to give an illusion of longer legs. I've worn them a few times now and not really had to break them in, they've rubbed a bit at the toes but not much! They are very comfortable and because my feet are quite wide and they can be adjusted to any width, they are amazing! There is a little bit of space still around the back for me so I tighten them through the loops more and it’s fine.

Sometimes Doc Martins can be a bit heavy for me so I tend to only wear them occasionally, but these are VERY light and no “break in” needed.
