I have tried wands, tongues and straighteners and although my hair does curl initially and looks lovely, after around 20 to 30 minutes the curls drop out completely.

Of course, there's always going to be some damage associated with heat styling, but I found that using a good hair mask before and afterwards and a protective spray during styling meant that my hair really didn't feel too frazzled afterwards. After sectioning your hair, start curling each strand around the wand and hold for about 5-7 seconds. I think the curls do look extra striking too due to my pink hair which proves this look can suit anyone regardless of their hair colour! The brand themselves also explain that "Chopstick Styler works on naturally curly hair too, for extra defined curls. On days where I want more definition, I reach for a classic curling tong to tame my frizz-prone strands into sleek beach waves, so I was intrigued to see how the Chopstick Styler would compare. I also did get a bit impatient and so had the occasional bigger curl from when I took a wider section of hair. To attempt to achieve the look I was going for, I first separated with all of the curls with my fingers. I sat in our lounge when having my hair curled and we placed the styler on our sideboard using the stand a few times and it worked perfectly and we didn't end up with a burned sideboard.
