About this deal

After a full day of eating only Percy Pig-themed foods for breakfast, lunch and dinner, snacking on the sweets between meals, and washing it all down with the phizzy pop I can safely say I would be happy if I never saw a real pig ever again, let alone just Percy. In fact, there's so much that I even discovered that there was a controversial ice cream in the range once I got home and it was too late to go back. The cupcake was just as good for this very reason with a plain vanilla sponge and icing that had been coloured pink but thankfully not flavoured. I'm sorry to say that the meal wasn't 100 per cent Percy - I had to add the strawberries to break up the triple (quadruple with the drink) Percy Pig flavour and give my taste buds something fresh and healthy. Thankfully this was by far the best 'meal' of the day, despite being another thing that's more of an after-dinner dessert.

The pizza, made out of a cookie / cake base with buttercream Percy Pig icing, was a lot nicer today and didn't taste anywhere near as sickly as it did fresh out of the oven yesterday. I was also pleasantly surprised by the 'phizzy pop' - I'm not a fizzy or sugary drink person and exclusively use them as a mixer but again the flavour was subdued and didn't taste too sweet or sugary at all. I had heard things about these pancakes and seen them absolutely everywhere as the Percy hype continued with these newely released items ahead of Pancake Day later. The centre of the pancakes also had some sort of sauce inside - I presume another Percy Pig flavoured addition - but again this was just enough for a nice subtle surprise.I got about two-thirds of the way through the stack before I gave up but the pancakes and dessert sauce were delicious, with the Percy flavour actually quite subtle and not overpowering at all. I'm not a huge Percy Pig fan, I would never have bought the extensive range of items beyond the sweets themselves was it not for this challenge and to be honest, I probably won't ever again. In news that shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone, I don't think I'll be doing that for a very long time.

After fitting in a quick workout between lunch and dinner because my body was crying out for me to do something remotely healthy, it was time for the final meal of a day. As we head into the evening and the end of this challenge nears, I could not stomach washing down my dinner with the phizzy pop and I am now drinking litres of water to nourish my body after a day full of sugar. This was a pleasant surprise especially after yesterday's ordeal - dare I say I actually enjoyed the first slice before I felt sick again and gave the second slice to someone else.Obviously this had to be served up on a pink plate, and the flavoured fizzy drink went into a champagne flute to add to the luxurious weekend brunch vibe, because an entirely pink, pig sweet-themed breakfast is the height of elegance. Instead I picked up a pack of two cupcakes and the Percy and Penny biscuits to make up for it, even if it's not the most substantial of meals. Most importantly, they had zero traces of the actual taste of Percy Pig, it was just a plain biscuit with coloured icing and I lapped it up after a day of pancakes and pizza deliberately created with the same flavour as the original sweets. I'm very excited for a day of eating only savoury food tomorrow with not a drop of sugar to be seen, not even in my coffee. Of course I realise the cupcakes wouldn't be Percy Pig-themed at all was the little pig not sat atop the icing but you can understand that I never want to see or eat him again, at least not for a while.
