The next episode also featured a couple of classic Mr. Bean moments, such as the car key sketch, where Mr. Bean showcases how difficult it is to start his car’s engine, by using a number of hidden keys that eventually open the place where he keeps his ignition key. Of course, after all that effort, his car doesn’t start. This is something that reveals the fictional nature of the series, as that would never happen in real life. Later on he uses an ambulance to jump his car, as the paramedics are attending to a man that Mr. Bean has electrocuted. Mr. Bean then drives off as the ambulance fails to start, because of course it does.

Man: Um, excuse me, are these all right? [The waiter smells the shellfish] Waiter: No, I do apologise, sir. Man: That's OK. [The waiter smells the oyster tray, then is disgusted. Mr. Bean drops the shellfish from his hands]

Now, while it is true that Rowan Atkinson did sit on the sofa, which he was safely tied to, the car was actually driven by a stunt driver who was lying on the floor, navigating thanks to a small screen in front of him. This stunt required another Mini to be heavily modified, of course. He then passes a Royal Guard, and tries to first scare him (with no reaction) and then take a picture of him. Bean moves a sundial, tries to place the camera, breaking the gnomon in the process. He styles the guard in his own fashion, such as grooming and trimming the moustache, adding tulips across his belt, a face made of paper to his hat (as well as hair made of leaves), and also placing Teddy on the bayonet. With everything arranged, Bean sets the timer on his camera] [A few seconds later, the Guard hears a command and leaves his post but Bean goes after him.
