With the TV special a bust, the footage was originally edited into the film and final album Let It Be in 1970. There are no extras on any of the discs, so us fans expecting additional / bonus material will be (slightly) disappointed about this. It wasn't exactly a pristine and rose-filled friendship, especially with the addition of Yoko Ono, who appears to be by John's side at all times.

FWIW he went on to include Elvis, Dylan, The Stones, Zeppelin, Hendrix, and a few others - I generally regard him as rather clueless as to music history with his comments like that. Reiterating that, there are over sixty hours of video and 150 hours of audio that have never been seen nor heard from The Beatles.

The three discs come in a booklet style presentation box, which includes four postcards of the Fabs. The book contains sleeves covered in pictures from the “Get Back” sessions and those sleeves hold the discs (see photos above and below). even open up all that wide at the most intensely musical scenes, but the feeling for clarity and width are fine. I admired the fabulous restoration work, and it was fascinating history of course, but it took me FOREVER to get through all the installments. Un viaggio nel tempo che non lascerà di certo indifferente neanche la persona più restia a lasciarsi abbandonare al dolce abbraccio della nostalgia di un tempo che fu.This set has certainly not been made widely available at least as far as I can see and the complete silence from Disney about the total cluster of this release speaks volumes. It's not clear what happened here, but if someone thought this was the best way to transfer this film to disc, they are surely mistaken. Okay, George left for a few days but what we see here isn’t the oft peddled disintegration of the group. Finance is provided by PayPal Credit (a trading name of PayPal UK Ltd, Whittaker House, Whittaker Avenue, Richmond-Upon-Thames, Surrey, United Kingdom, TW9 1EH). The first few minutes reveal the origin and timeline of The Beatles, playing clips of Beatlemania, their roots, the creation of Apple Records, their success, and more.

It is absolutely compelling viewing watching these geniuses crafting their music, no wonder they've been hailed the greatest band ever, this just proves it to me, and the rooftop concert at the finale is awesome, it's a must for every Beatle fan. Strangely enough there was next to no word officially from either Disney who distributes this set or Apple which is The Beatles company who own this material and put the plans in motion to get director Peter Jackson to make the documentary.A parte questo dettaglio, la presenza integrale del leggendario ‘Rooftop concert’, rende l’acquisto di questo cofanetto imprescindibile per ogni collezionista dei Beatles che si rispetti. The funny thing is I’m not one hundred percent sure it is legit but I’m thinking it more than likely is – are you confused yet? Yes, director Peter Jackson has indeed scrubbed nearly all of the film grain from the original 16mm footage, and at times the image does appear somewhat smeared with compromised fine details. Peter Jackson’s epic documentary series, featuring previously unseen footage of the Beatles’ 1969 recording session was initially slated for release on Blu-ray and DVD in February, but the date was pushed back to July.

The result is a fantastic look at music, the industry, and each member of the band in a uniquely intimate way. The favorite is the Dolby Atmos choice, but given the nature of this documentary and it being filmed at the start of 1969, there isn't a lot of use of the dynamics of an Atmos soundscape here like one would immerse themselves in with a Michael Bay action movie.

I watched the Disney+ streaming version of “Get Back” way back in November and remembered being impressed with its picture quality even though on my TV the Disney+ app was glitchy and froze up frequently (one of the major strikes against streaming). The Beatles: Get Back – The Rooftop Performance Concert was screened in IMAX at the Apple Corps headquarters in London and various theaters around the U. Supposedly a technical glitch halted the Blu-ray release which was also to come out in February but there was no word on if this defect only affected the Blu-ray version as the DVD wasn’t really mentioned as being defective – it was just implied.
