About this deal

Precisely, it supposedly features a Gold titanium hypo-allergenic foil for irritation-free shaving. If you want a shaver that can help you avoid irritation, then I would opt for the Wahl Finale. Whilst the Profoil is unlikely to cause irritation, the Finale is specially designed to deal with people who have sensitive skin. Sensitive skin is one of the biggest issues you’ll have to deal with when you’re shaving, so it’s definitely a necessity if you’re prone to getting razor bumps when you’re shaving.

Although this shaver has a sturdy build, care should be practiced to ensure the durability of the equipment. On top of that, the shaver has an extra thin foil, which makes it prone to damage. A smooth rhythmic movement should be used to ensure the film’s longevity, which will also give better results. Every professional groomer should have this equipment as part of the finishing process for an amazing finish.

The intended use of Andis ProFoil is to shave stubble and for hair fades. However, I wanted to test out a couple of other uses. When you want to switch the machine on or off, its power button is located on top of the chassis, which is very accessible. The high-powered motor will give you up to 9000 cuts per minute thanks to its cutting-edge technology.

First of all, if you have very sensitive skin, you likely won’t be able to get the best out of it in terms of closeness. After using the Skull Shaver Palm and then the Remington RX5 for a month each (both are head shavers) and reviewing them both, the next on the list to test and review was the Andis ProFoil Lithium shaver. I could see it had the potential to be a good head shaver, even though that is not the intended use it’s sold for. I also tested fades on a model’s hair trim (that will be my brother’s head).

Both Wahl and Andis have moved on with better foil shaving products, however. Similar to what they’ve done with their adjustable clipper lines. Battery-wise, performance-wise and just all around, the #8061 shaver is old news. In the case of the ProFoil, it was pretty obvious from the first use that a compromise had to be made in the comfort department. Visually, the Andis Profoil Lithium Plus kind of spooked me. The look of it is very similar to my beard trimmer, but it also felt way too professional for me to be using on my head. I’ve only ever shaved with a straight razor and an average-looking bald head shaver in the past, so this was a new experience for me in terms of visual aesthetics. Locally the Wahl sells for €120, the Andis for €140, and the BabYlissPro for €150. A bit weird pricing, paying premium price for those two with plastic bodies. Would be fun if you could get your hands on theat BabYlissPro and see what you think about it. What are these type of foil shavers called ? They are not exaclty similar in design to Braun, Panasonic etc. They are similar to the design of the more simple “travellers” electric shavers, but there must be a better name. ReplyOne reason you may want to opt for the Profoil over the Finale is that it’s a lot lighter and more quiet than the Finale. It isn’t as heavy duty and bulky, which will suit some people who don’t want to carry a large shaver around with them everywhere. In terms of performance, it matches the Finale in almost every way. It rids that classic overhead hold and numerous blade design for something a little more familiar to guys who consider themselves regulars at their barbers. It’s very much like your best beard trimmer in terms of size and grip but a little more on the boxier side. In addition, the device is extremelylightweight. Both use two staggered foil cutters, both are similar in terms of design and functionality, both work corded and cordless and the performance will also be quite similar. For professional groomers looking to make short and trendy men’s haircuts, the Andis Profoil electric shaver will work wonders. This is because of its double offset blades, which are made of gold and titanium.

Let’s now get to the part that matters the most, and that is how well the Andis ProFoil actually shaves. At their core, all of these foil shavers were meant to be used cordless. Especially if you’re a barber or stylist. You won’t orbit around your client with a charging station now, will you? The Philips Norelco OneBlade Hybrid is a sturdy, full-featured body groomer that offers versatility at a low price. Its dual-edge blade makes getting the right angle on your shave easier and is adept at touching up sideburns and mustaches. It can be used wet or dry and has a battery indicator light to let you know when it needs a charge or has a full battery (though if only used every three days, we found that it can last well over a month between charges). It includes several attachments — 1mm, 2mm, 3mm, and 5mm for stubble on your face and two comfort guards for body grooming. When you first turn it on it’s not too bad, but when you start to shave, especially if you have coarse facial hair, it will sound like a coffee grinder. And I can honestly say that the ProFoil gave me one of the closest dry shaves of any electric razor. As the name indicates, the Finale shaver is designed to make the shaving process as short as possible. Use a clipper or trimmer if you have long hair on your face or head, as this machine is designed to cut short hair only and make it shorter. Once your hair is short enough, you can use the Wahl finale to shorten your hair further. You’ll certainly have a difficult time finding a better one at this price point that can match it in that regard. The charger bundled with the Andis ProFoil is really compact, probably the smallest I’ve seen with any electric razor.
