About this deal

Then, I must point out that every LGBT+ character is a side or insignificant character. I never got the impression that Remy or Hale were bisexual or pansexual or anything. The fae warriors escorting Hale have made comments about their sexual preferences. I guess some of them are at the very least bisexual, but that's about it. There was also a highborn character described as androgynous, and they clearly were non-binary. However, they appeared once, and that was it. It all felt politically correct, and I don't think it's that appropriate to market a book as LGBT+ when none of the main characters is part of that community.

This is one of those under the radar books that go unnoticed but have the potential of gaining a larger audience. While this book has mystery elements it is through and through a fantasy romance but I don’t mean that in a bad way. The mystery storyline is very fun and helps to develop the relationships of Bri and others around her but it provides the base for the adventure this book really is about. The LGBTQIA+ story is so well written and fleshed out that it feels like a natural progression of history. So many books feel compelled in adding elements that deliberately try to diversify the book. Not at all here.A "gorgeous blonde warrior fae" who looks just as good in fighting leathers as she does in a ball gown

Can't wait to continue the series with the fourth volume following Talhan and Neelo.A great mix of magic, adventure, action and romance. Expression is my favorite thing in this world. All directions and colors are represented and there are no barriers. You love who you love and no one bats an eyelid.Buri is asked for help by her friend and lover Delta. Delta is badly injured when Buri arrives and she needs help to protect the new heiress of the West, Princess Avalina. The relationship between Bri and Lina throughout the book is amazing. I loved all of the banter and growth they go through together as Bri is trying to break free of what everyone or almost everyone in the western Court believes that she is there to do, while Lina is trying to figure out how to take over as ruler while there are still those out there that want to kill her. Lina is a badass battle axe wielding princess that is amazing. I loved her and I loved her sarcasm especially after she had been around Bri for a little bit of time. While I don’t consider this book enemies to lovers, it definitely has some elements of that and if you want the banter that comes with enemies to lovers this has it. I loved seeing Bri and Lina grow as characters both together and apart and they were very well done as characters. I adored Bri in the previous books so seeing her get her own book and continued character development was amazing and everything I could have wanted. Hale steadily won me over. At first, I thought he was too pompous and rude, especially towards Remy, Heather, and Fenrin. However, I started to soften towards him once I learned more about him. I empathize with Hale’s need for his father’s acceptance. He tries so hard to please the man, only for naught. What I like the most about Hale is how he encourages Remy to find herself. He gives her some helpful nudges along the way. MC and love interest going on a perilous journey first to play the role of nonchalant prince and his 'plaything' where she has to *gasp* sit in his lap and pretend they're acting and then go climb a mountain to find a magical item which just happens to be in the middle of a lake with some scary monsters I could do with a little more spice in the next books but saying that 1. I'm just greedy and 2. They only got together towards the end of the book so it makes sense for there to only have been a couple of super spicy moments. I did live for the slow burn "we like each other but won't admit it to ourselves" moments in the beginning though.I love how protective Bri is of everyone she cares for. I really like how vulnerable she is because she has been judged by the prophesy made about her, it clearly colours her actions at times. She/they are inspired to create diverse stories that transport readers to new realms, making them fall in love with fantasy for the first time, or, all over again.
