Caramel macchiato.” I flash her a taunting grin. “Since you’re salty all the time, I figure you might like something sweet.” Gah! Poor Della! I just wanted to wrap her up and hide her away. The absolute wtf about the cards dealt to her just broke my heart. Landry Croft had enough of being under her father’s cruel thumb. But her escape attempt might lead her to three times more problems with the Mannford triplets. In Triple threat we meet the Manford triplets- Sully, Sparrow and Scout. They reluctantly work for their uncle, who is some sort of secret crime boss under the surface, but to the community is a powerful elite family. Sully Sparrow and Scout are his brawn for the things their uncle doesn’t want to get his own hands dirty with. Their latest assignment is to go undercover as one person (Ford Mann) to get to know Landry- the daughter of a well respected business man. They want to learn some dirty secrets on her father and they need to thwart Landry’s upcoming arranged marriage to the son of another big family in town- the Constantine’s. Follow all that? So I really didn't know how I was going to feel about this book, being a RH virgin over here, but I liked it! Imaging a similar scenario between me and three Charlie Hunnams and I'm just not mad 😏🤷‍♀️

OMG! Did this book really end there? First all of, let me tell you that this book ends on a major cliffhanger and even after days of finishing this book, I am still not over it. Just imagine the impact it had with my head. Her taste is foreign to me. Sugar laced with something addictive, like heroin. A sweet shot of obsession.” My heart breaks for Landry so much during this story... I just want to scoop her and Della up and run away with them, giving them the life they deserve. Poor, poor Della... No 6yr old should ever have to deal with a dad like him. I guess the one saving grace is that she can't hear most of the horrendous things he says to her... Then they were a little happy trio of lovers at the end with her in this polyamorous relationship and I lost interest. With each encounter, I’m lured deeper into the labyrinth. The danger lurking beneath his surface calls to me, even as it warns me away.Goodreads Librarians are volunteers who help ensure the accuracy of information about books and authors in the Goodreads' catalog. My heart was absolutely broken for Landry. She’s smart, intelligent, and fierce, yet so utterly broken. While she may appear to have everything she could ever want from the outside, all she truly desired was for her and Della to be safe from the abuse they endured at the hands of their father. I had a hard time stomaching some of the dialogue with their father and found myself thankful that despite Della still knowing what was happening, she thankfully couldn’t hear most of the cruel words said to her. I loved how protective Landry was of her and was so grateful that they had each other when all else failed. I started the book not knowing that this is a spin-off to another series so you can expect my confusion while reading this. And thus, I feel like something was missing and couldn't find myself connected much to the characters (mostly the triplet) since the reason they spread into Croft World was to seek retribution for what Winston did to them.

Meeting Landry Croft was supposed to be one thing, not what they encountered. On the other hand, Landry has no idea what she’s gotten herself into when she meets and befriends Ford Mann aka Sparrow, Sully and Scout. She tries to shake her head no, but my grip on her hair is too tight. I force her to nod. More tears. A sob. Pleading. I understand this is collection of the two books in the series. What I didn’t know was that it was connected to a bigger series and it didn’t help the confusion at all.

I love that she put both halves into one omnibus, where you can just continue reading without having to pause to pull the second book out. The transition between the two books is seamless and flows like honey. I think the omnibus gives the book what it’s really needed. I wasn't familiar with the Triplets as I haven't read the Cinderella trilogy, so I thrown in head first. These boys are the epitome of morally grey (gray?) characters. They intend to infiltrate Landry's father's business and nothing will stop them. Moving forward with this book...I loved that we got all three of their POV's. It helped really add to the story. While Scout, Sully, and Sparrow are different, they really are the same in so many ways. They each had a part and played it well. I felt so bad for Landry. I still have a couple of questions when it comes to her dad and her's relationship though. She's really trying to help her sister, Della, and keep her from her dad's wrath. I really liked Della and Sully's interactions. It made him more 'human'. is a collection of two full length novels by the bestselling author K Webster.
