About this deal

Our original Energy Gel is formulated with natural fruit juice for a light and refreshing taste, and is a smooth, light consistency – no lumps to be found here! Dried Fruit (Apricots 24%, Sultanas, Rice Flour, Sulphites), Oats 14%, Sunflower seeds, Cashew Nuts, Isomaltulose* 9%, Oatbran 8%, Humectant (Vegetable Glycerol), Sunflower Oil, Ocean Mineral Source (Magnesium Citrate) 1.5%, Vitamin B6. Consume 200ml of water if possible to start the hydration process. Take one Energy Gel Caffeine OR Energy Gel Aqua Caffeine sachet. These two products have virtually the same formulation and carbohydrate content. The difference is that Energy Gel Aqua Caffeine is bigger and slightly heavier, as it contains additional water. This makes it’s consistency more like a drink than a gel and it’s easier to get-down. During the race Our Slow Release Energy Range also contains our most advanced electrolyte complex – Ocean Minerals. This provides you with an invigorating hit of magnesium and over 70 minerals and trace elements, to balance your electrolytes during sport. Energy Gel with Slow Release Carbs is the same consistency and size as Energy Gel Aqua, making it perfect for those who don’t want to carry extra fluids with them.

Energy GelCaffeine contains caffeine (30mg per gel). We do notrecommended this product for children or pregnant women. No, you can reuse the soft flask as many times as you want. We recommend washing it thoroughly every time you use it.Take one Energy Aqua Gel Caffeine sachet every 20 minutes. If you find that 3 gels an hour is too much, try and consume as many gels as you comfortably can. Practising using gel during longer training runs makes it easier to use on race day. Use a Gel Belt to carry your gels. Caffeine Depending on body weight, there is a maximum number of Energy Aqua Gel Caffeine sachets you can take. Any additional gels you consume should be standard Energy Gel Aqua (caffeine free):

Before an event or competition, pre-load your muscles by taking Slow Release Energy 90 – 120 minutes before the start. This will keep your energy stores filled for when you need it most. You should consume energy gels with appropriate fluid intake to stay hydrated as is recommended whenever you take part in sports activity. You can use ZERO instead of water. After 40 minutes, start taking Energy Gel Caffeine or Energy Gel Aqua Caffeine sachet and then take another sachet every 30 minutes throughout. Caffeine Every runner is different, so the right time to take your energy gel completely depends on you and your body. High5 Energy Gels are smaller than the gels available from some other brands, but they taste good and slip down easily - and certainly deliver the energy you need on a long hard bike ride.

This makes it a good option for beginners who are trying out gels for the first time. Easy to open and swallow, each sachet delivers 23g of carbohydrate energy. However, it's worth pointing out at this stage that energy gel isn’t a direct replacement as you’re unable to control which muscles the glucose goes to, yet they do help you continue to fuel your run.
