About this deal

If (according to man) I fought with beasts at Ephesus, what doth it profit me, if the dead rise not again? Let us eat and drink, for to morrow we shall die. But these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves. I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.

Then I commended mirth, because a man hath no better thing under the sun, than to eat, and to drink, and to be merry: for that shall abide with him of his labour the days of his life, which God giveth him under the sun.”- Ecclesiastes 8:15 (KJV) Strong's 1722: In, on, among. A primary preposition denoting position, and instrumentality, i.e. A relation of rest; 'in, ' at, on, by, etc. For thou saidst, What advantage will it be unto thee? and, What profit shall I have, if I be cleansed from my sin? If I have fought with wild animals in Ephesus, what have I gained according to the way people look at things? If the dead are not raised, "Let's eat and drink because tomorrow we're going to die!"

Just for a moment instead of grain think of money, lots of it; there is uncertainty in the world, how do you protect it, what do you do with it? Well there are people around the world who have found a very lucrative way of keeping it, hiding it, and making it grow. Driving throughout London would give you a flavour of what I mean. Builders vans everywhere and work going on in almost every property; houses being turned into mini palaces. Then I’ll say to myself, “You have many goods stored up for many years. Take it easy; eat, drink, and enjoy yourself."’ If from merely human motives I have fought with wild beasts in Ephesus, what profit is it to me? If the dead do not rise, let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we are to die.

So I commend the enjoyment of life, because there is nothing better for a person under the sun than to eat and drink and be glad. Then joy will accompany them in their toil all the days of the life God has given them under the sun." - NIVMerging with Mother Mary’s energy body is something you can do for yourself in meditation by following through what I’ve suggested above, chakra by chakra. Having a such a strong alliance to University of Illinois in my family, we try to make it to at least one football game a season and "tailgate". About 4 years ago, my dad had the brilliant idea to bring his deep fryer and literally fry everything!!! It was then that "Fry Fest" was born! If I fought wild animals in Ephesus with only human hope, what good did that do me? If the dead are not raised, Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die.

And I will say to my soul, “Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years; take your ease; eat, drink, and be merry.”’ Over the millenia in Israel, there have been many property disputes. Looking into the recent past we might remember The Golan Hights, The West Bank and several other Palastinian enclaves within Israel. Since the end of WW2 the modern Jewish diaspora from Eastern Europe and Africa have responded, in vast numbers, to the Jewish call to come home. This has caused massive pressure for land on which to house them. The result has been one of the biggest land grabs in history, and this by God’s chosen people, through the Israeli authorities. So I am convinced that we should enjoy ourselves, because the only pleasure we have in this life is eating and drinking and enjoying ourselves. We can at least do this as we labor during the life that God has given us in this world." - Good News TranslationIf according to man I fought wild beasts in Ephesus, what is the profit to me? If the dead are not raised, "Let us eat and let us drink, for tomorrow we die." If I fought with wild beasts in Ephesus after the manner of a man, what [is] the advantage to me if the dead do not rise? Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die! Not that I haven’t always ALSO been a loving, giving, well-meaning, of service, helpful, insightful, high-functioning, achieving, loyal person. But there was that other aspect that rendered me… challenging. A wounded animal is sometimes a little rough around the edges, for sure.

If I have, as it were, fought "wild beasts" here in Ephesus simply from human motives, what have I gained? But if the dead are not raised to life, then, as the saying goes, "Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we will die." The closest in wording to “eat, drink, and be merry, for tomorrow we may die” comes from 1 Corinthians 15:32: Considering I usually work everyday and have no time for myself, I shouldn't complain about the recent onslaught of activity in my life. My friend Bridgetta and I went to Miami March 23-27th. It was a lot of fun. I had never really been. (besides the night before the cruise last year.) That city is crazy. Guys were hootin' and hollarin' at us the whole time. Granted Bridgetta is a beautiful girl and looks like a model. It just amazes me the audacity that some people have. Does it ever really work to yell at a girl when you are driving pass her in a car at 25 mph? Is she just going to shout out her number so she can meet up with you later for a sexual redevous? Highlights of the trip: Went to a club(Space) at 6am til 9am and danced our butts off. Rode on a boat so fast, I think my laugh lines are smoothed out. Ate at an Indian restaurant, Guru, that made me want to worship Vishnu. Saw inside the Versace mansion. Got a tan.(If you know how white I am, then you know how much this means to me, however little.) Oh, and we had at least one mojito a day! Eat, drink and be merry, one of the many phrases from the bible quoted by Shakespeare, but if taken out of context can so easily be misleading. In Jesus’ parable there must have been an exceptional harvest, possibly several of them. Much grain to store and goods too. Who wouldn’t want to make sure their property would be safe from damage or rot. But is that part of God’s plan for us? If from human motives I fought with wild beasts at Ephesus, what does it profit me? If the dead are not raised, LET US EAT AND DRINK, FOR TOMORROW WE DIE.

There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day: For we would not, brethren, have you ignorant of our trouble which came to us in Asia, that we were pressed out of measure, above strength, insomuch that we despaired even of life: … The fact that we have tastebuds to enjoy rich coffee, sweet candied apples, and savory nachos is a gift. God grants us the time to enjoy the work of our hands, and the joy of sitting among old friends. For “every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of Heavenly lights” ( James 1:7). What Does the Bible Say about Enjoying Life?
