About this deal

Inofolic is of vegetable origin (with no gluten or lactose) and has no unpleasant side effects such as abdominal cramps, bloating and diarrhoea, unlike other supplements on the market such as Metformin. I dont crave food as much. I’ve lost over a stone in weight. I was never really over weight but still needed to lose some. But I dont know whether it was down to this OR the fact I was on other medication that I had to come off before starting IVF or maybe both. The medication I was on before doesnt increase weight so I have no idea how I managed to lose a lot as I’ve struggled to shift weight for many years. As I said I wasn’t clinically overweight but I was on my high end of my BMI and I didnt want to increase that any more. Don’t use heavy duvets that leave you with nothing if you get too hot – layering blankets may work better Eating a healthy nutritious diet will help make sure your body is healthy and may assist in conception and nourishment of a developing baby. Your diet should include plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables, especially green leafy vegetables that are rich in folic acid.

I’d seen MyOva mentioned here as well, if you don’t mind me asking, did you notice any difference with any other PCOS symptoms? (Obviously the main aim is to sort my cycle which I’m assuming is going to be a bit of a mess, I realised after I posted last night that it’s been closer to 15 years continuously on the pill, so no idea what things will be like when I stop ). But if it was to help with shifting some stubborn weight that I can never seem to lose no matter what I do, or reduce some excess hair then that would be an added bonus! My doctor has been great and has told me to go straight in as soon as we’re ready to start and she’ll refer me straight to assisted conception, but I’m guessing there might be a fairly long waiting list so want to do what I can in the meantime!

And one trial resulted in both the number and quality of oocytes (egg cells) being boosted in a group taking myo-inositol.

In terms of the difference between Inofolic and Inofolic Alpha, as I’ve not take either I couldn’t comment on the difference between the two but as a supporter for the benefits of myo-inositol I can genuinely say personally I’ve seen great improvement in my periods regulating as well as my ovulation, so I highly would recommend a supplement containing this. The amounts of Myo-inositol in the recommended daily amount is pretty much what I’ve been taking with MyOva so on that front all sounds good! In addition to MyOva, I was also given metformin and Folic Acid by my GP the month I fell pregnant and I honestly believe in my case the metformin was a game changer along with CoQ10 which I had started taken a few short months prior to falling pregnant for the first time in 6 years. It unfortunately did not end well but as someone who had never prior to this had even seen a positive, I can honestly say it really helped to restore some balance in my hormones whilst TTC with PCOS. Steph149 Brilliant! I’m glad your delivery is finally with you and keep me updated how you get on with them 😊😊 happy to help with anything you need in your journey even just as an ear to bounce things off to 😊 also glad you got a chance to put your feet up and relax a bit!

I was ttc for two years with DS, no pregnancies in that time, monthly cycles that looked normal though but no joy. I have lean PCOS (AMH reading during clomid was 138, so v.v.high), had 5 rounds of clomid which all failed. Was a risk for OHSS. Was referred for IVF, and I was worried about OHSS again because of my high AMH. I wasn’t offered metformin, presumably because I am thin (in hindsight a mistake imo). Whilst waiting for ivf I read some private ivf clinics recommend inofolic to improve oocyte quality (my understanding is that the wrong isomer ratio, with too much d-chiro-inositol, can decrease egg quality, but all the research I’ve read is that the inofolic brand contains the right ratio of isomers and has good quality control so improves egg quality. But that’s why I choose to use inofolic and not generic myo-inositol where I can’t guarantee quality control of isomer ratios). I had a final blood test, and at this point had been taking inofolic for two months, my AMH had reduced to 40 (almost normal range). Third cycle of taking inofolic I was pregnant, with my now 2yr old DS. My understanding is that it can take three months as that’s how long it takes to take new eggs to maturity. Never needed ivf, got pregnant naturally and inofolic was the only change I made, had tried everything dietary already, cutting out alcohol/sugar/dairy etc. I took inofolic all through pregnancy without issue (DS healthy and normal) and I continued to take it as I have found it makes staying a normal slim weight effortless (rather than a lot of effort before).

Greff, D et al. Inositol is an effective and safe treatment in polycystic ovary syndrome: a systematic review and meta-analysis of randomised controlled trials. Reproductive Biology and Endocrinology volume 21, Article number: 10 (2023) Unfortunately, women with PCOS can be at increased risk of metabolic syndrome (high blood sugar levels, obesity, abnormal cholesterol or triglyceride levels and high blood pressure), which increases your risk of type II diabetes, stroke and heart disease. Insulin resistance is linked to metabolic factors like weight management and heart health, so myo-inositol reduces cholesterol levels and blood pressure by improving insulin sensitivity. How much myo-inositol should I be taking for PCOS? I’ve seen various posts on here talking about inofolic or inofolic alpha and I’m wondering whether it would be worth going straight onto this when I stop taking my contraceptive pill (planning to do this right after Christmas)

It is recommended that all women who are trying to become pregnant, should be on a daily supplement of the vitamin Folic Acid as this has been shown to dramatically reduce the incidence of spina bifida and other related conditions (neural tube defects) affecting the baby. Inofolic Alpha contains myo-inositol, alpha-lactalbumin and folic acid. Alpha-lactalbumin is a protein that can improve the intestinal absorption of myo-inositol. The combination of myo-inositol, alpha-lactalbumin and folic acid improves the following 3 aspects of PCOS management: For anyone who is wondering whether to buy or not, this journey is hideous with so many unspoken struggles, well what I can say it won’t do any harm to at least try it, it works for many many people. I’m giving the product 5 stars regardless as the product is great quality and the customer service was second to none. If I buy again and it suddenly starts working I’ll revise the review As described above, because of the different aspects of the syndrome, PCOS can have any or all of the following: I think we’re finally on our way to ovulation this upcoming week (symptoms are present and tests show they are 40-50% positive on the Femometer app) and it’s exactly when I would’ve expected it to happen (all my apps are 2-3 days off as always since I ovulate later in my cycle 🙄) hope your tests are also on their to being more conclusive and sending baby dust your way 💕✨💕✨
