About this deal

In this book, Michel Lauricella presents both his artistic and systematic methods for drawing the human body—with drawing techniques from the écorché (showing the musculature underneath the skin) to sketches of models in action.

But if you already have a good foundation on figure drawing and anatomy, the depictions in this book will give a fresh perspective and good alternative to tightly-rendered, hyper-detailed anatomy books. Most purchases from business sellers are protected by the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 which give you the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days after the day you receive the item. The artist shows some bigger body types toward the end, which is a pleasant surprise from most art books. Also available as part of a very limited slipcase set featuring signed limited edition hardbacks of all four novellas in the series. Geared toward artists of all levels, from beginners through professionals, this handy, pocket-sized book will help spark your imagination and creativity. In this book, artist and teacher Michel Lauricella offers more than 300 original drawings and diagrams. The consistent labelling with small footnotes on every page is way more informative and digestible than reams of dry text. In more than 1000 illustrations, the human body is shown from a new perspective—from bone structure to musculature, from anatomical detail to the body in motion. Breaking the subject matter down into the underlying skeletal shapes, followed by the musculature, then skin and fat, and finally, the veins, Lauricella offers multiple approaches--from simple forms to complex renderings--and a plethora of positions and gestures are included to help you improve your drawing skills.

This book presents a simplified and practical vision of the fat and skin folds of the human body to help you in your drawing studies, encouraging both accuracy and a rich, diverse representation of the human form. The seller states in the listing that they normally post within 5 business days however it was 16 days before this item was posted from the warehouse. And they broke it apart by sections of the body, so it's even easier to just pick it up and look for the one specific anatomy you need. Rather than going the traditional route of memorizing a repertoire of poses, Lauricella instead stresses learning this small collection of forms, which can then be combined and shaped into the more complex and varied forms and postures we see in the living body. El primer tomo es una colección de ilustraciones que muestran lo esencial para construir un volumen debajo del pelo, la grasa y la piel.In Morpho: Hands and feet, artist and teacher Michel Lauricella presents a unique approach to learning to draw the human body. In this book, Lauricella focuses exclusively on the hands and feet--arguably the most popular and, to some, the most difficult shapes of the body to draw successfully. This book is some of the most easy to follow anatomy, it's really straight forward, great for people who are starting out, it shows you the basic understanding of muscles and skeletons and break them down to basic forms.

There's not much text but whenever there is, the text is insightful and talks about things you should know when it comes to drawing the said part. They have become the showpiece of any new design project, frequently overshadowing the plan as the principal graphic mediator of ideas. Geared toward artists of all levels--from beginners through professionals--this handy, pocket-sized book will help spark your imagination and creativity. Please feel free to correct me if I am wrong but I have just started reading this book in English and have found two misleading facts. In this book, Michel Lauricella presents both his artistic and systematic methods for drawing the human body--with drawing techniques from the corch (showing the musculature underneath the skin) to sketches of models in action.Morpho is a rich, fascinating, and helpful book that can go with you everywhere on your sketching journey. What often goes ignored is the skin itself--how it moves and the expressions it creates as the body moves and changes positions. Polaroid instant photography revolutionized the taking and making of pictures, and the story of its beginnings is a simple one. I like the way the book feels and handles, and have used quite a few pages to really get to grips with bone, muscle and movement.
