Just did a test spray on my hand, I expected a warmer fragrance but it’s surprisingly fresh and versatile smelling. For the first 20-30 mins the fragrance opens up with with a mix of citrus and powderyness from the bergamot and iris. It’s not going to blow your mind, but it is really well balanced, and is one of the most versatile iris designer fragrances in the market. It's definitely sweet, but I don't find it cloying, and compared to a lot of other sweet fragrances I've smelled, it retains the fruitiness and powdery deodorant vibe from the opening well into the dry-down, which stops it from being too sickly.

This woody ambery fragrance built around Tonka Bean Absolute and intensified by Styrax Essence, runs hot on the skin. It's sweet but also dark BUT ALSO FRESH (and i LOVEEEEE fresh fragrances and when dark fragrances can also be fresh it's a win). ciuda multora, care evită case mari gen Armani, mergând mult pe segmentul de nișă, pot spune că, Armani are câteva parfumuri super. The second time I sprayed it was 42 hours ago, I wasn't freshly out of shower and this Iris is still strong on me as I type this.I asked him how he was getting on with it and he said he sprayed it on 8 hours earlier and could still smell it himself, let alone our other colleagues. Definitely in the same vein as Prada's Lhomme with the same iris, but so much more with the tonka, smooth cedar and sage. During the drydown (which happens very quickly) it emits a fizzy and boozy smell, sort of like an energy drink containing alcohol, but the latter is rather faint, so it doesn't become unpleasant. Despite the notes listed, it smells really similar to the original Code flanker from 2004 but it's more mature.

I am willing to accept that I possibly got a bad bottle however it the batch code indicates its authentic. I also enjoyed and grabbed the last two bottles I could find (retail) of the A-List release from 2018 (which I found to be an acceptable reformulation of the original with improved longevity).Most purchases from business sellers are protected by the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 which give you the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days after the day you receive the item. I possibly went nose blind with this one, but in the dry down it smelled absolutely the same as The Dreamer. I also experienced Playboy Hollywood (and didn't like it due to weakness), Antonio Banderas Seduction in Black (good but on the weak side as well) and La Rive Password (which again was weak. Confident but understated—it is ideal for those seeking an adaptable and sophisticated fragrance that can be worn year round.
