A great art book if you love Doom , there’s not a great deal of reading here but who cares when the artwork is so good . I got this as a gift for my husband and he absolutely loves it he's a big doom fan so this was the perfect gift . Would have been five stars but I was surprised at the lack of the artwork of the "parchment scrolls" that appear in DOOM Eternal, not sure why they weren't included in the art book. Intricate details add a sense of depth to the flat perspective, and give you more reasons to stop and stare.

A full-color digital art book containing concept art and commentary from the development of DOOM Eternal , the next entry in the iconic first-person shooter series. Some of my major design contributions to this game project as a Senior Concept Artist are as follows: Iconic enemy demons such as the Marauder, Tyrant and Carcass, the Slayer’s Crucible Sword, the look and style of the Night Sentinel armors, all the giant robots in the game and the look and style of the Maykr homeworld, Urdak, including its lore and story. The environment artists and sound designers did an amazing job in bringing this eerie location to life in the game. Also included in the book are environment/set designs, and of course weapons designs, with a few new additions to the familiar ones like the double-barrel shotgun and BFG, although they too get a visual overhaul. It's like all UAC levels look the same, all Mars levels look the same, all Hell levels look the same.
