A couple things struck me about their relationship in this book… one, how much Gideon is evolving ( note action verb – as in he’s still got a way to go). In the previous book we saw exactly how far Gideon is prepared to go to keep Eva safe but now he is facing the fallout. Their relationship still isn't perfect by a long shot but things are better than they ever have been.

To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. The worldwide phenomenon continues as Eva and Gideon face the demons of their pasts, and accept the consequences of their obsessive desires.

I was too emotionally raw to deal with Deanna, and was still reeling from the conversation with Detective Graves.

Overall, I’m still interested to see the resolution of Eva and Gideon’s story, but I’m really hoping the next book has more action. I wanted desperately to talk about it, to get help working it out in my head, but I’d never be able to tell anyone.The first half of the book, seemed to consist of scenes of “I need you, I must have you, you complete me” yeah yeah we KNOW, get to some action, some drama! This contributes to the very soap opera feel of this particular book, but also the series as a whole. Then he reached for me, stepping carefully into me, prolonging the moment when our bare skin would touch. Many people thought this would be the final Crossfire book, and once they understood the series is a quintet, questioned whether the story truly necessitated more books. A Yankees ball cap was pulled low over his brow, but the shadow cast by its brim did nothing to diminish the striking blue of his eyes.
