Don't get me wrong, I think 1st and Goal is perfect at what it is trying to accomplish, I just wish for a little bit more control/influence, so I decided to resurrect my abandoned idea. In addition, at certain points of action, cards are turned over from the remaining deck, which represent the element of chance and the unanticipated dynamics of the game. These are the basics of the game, but there is plenty more - I have also worked out some rules for audibles and time management in the game.
