Prep the nails first by applying one coat of Kiara Sky's Prep to dehydrate your nails and remove any oils. Now that your beautiful Gelly Tips are secured to your nails, you can stop here or keep going and get creative! Removal is easy – file off the shine of the top coat and then I bought these foil things (affiliate) to add acetone to and wrap each nail in to soak off.

These gel extension tips are made out of soft gel, and are lightweight, strong, and are perfectly sculpted in five gorgeous shapes! Then you can begin prepping the nails by pushing back the cuticles and removing the shine from the nail bed using a file. We understand this is frustrating but in the meantime, thanks for persevering with chipped nails a little longer as you wait for the remedy. We understand the importance of providing easy-to-use, quality products to all the nail artists of the world.Then I got a little self conscious for some reason because I know the finished look isn’t “top notch” – which may sound silly to some, but for me I was frustrated that it wasn’t perfect out of the gate. I have had the same polish one for 10 days as of now, used scotch brite scrub pads to complete housecleaning several times, and not a single nail has polish lifting or separating. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. I have been swatching for a couple weeks with them on, and with my peel off base coat and polish remover (Zoya Remove+) they haven’t disintegrated or gotten gross.

Then apply a thin layer of the builder gel on the inside of the gelly tip and on the area that will be attached to the nail and press the gelly tip onto the natural nail and press down to remove any air bubbles. They fit perfectly on the bigger bottles, but are slightly big for the smaller, but that’s not so much of an issue. We want to make sure you get the longest-wear possible out of your fabulous tips as bubbles underneath your Gelly Tip could cause it to pop right off in a few days time, so be sure to get rid of any pesky bubbles before proceeding onto the next step! To finish off this nail look, seal and protect your manicure by applying the Gelly Top Coat and curing for 60 seconds.

They hold well as long as you don't put too much or too little builder gel underneath, and the polish needs to be wiped with rubbing alcohol after the top coat is cured (that's not explained in the instructions, but it's a must to make sure they're not tacky/sticky). I'm surprised they haven't come out with a better solution for this like a squeeze bottle (without brush) to apply a dot then press the nail on.

On my pinky and middle you can see small “shattered glass” like look – and that was because when I went to cure, I didn’t turn the lamp on first, and when I let go of the nail form, the 2 sides of builder gel released and bubbles came in that I couldn’t get rid of.
