Distiller's Reserve is the cornerstone of the range, exemplifying the skills the makers have mastered through decades of experience. It was the third vintage released by the distillery and its aesthetics, nose and palate are equally special. This Glenlivet matures in traditional oak barrels, then in a barrel of American white oak and finally in ex-sherry barrels. The nose has lots of ginger and orchard fruits with some honey, leading onto the beautiful palate with oodles of spiced orange marmalade, ginger and anise. Bottles in this Auction are never classed as brand new and Boxes/Bottles/Packaging etc may have marks or creases due to their age.

Nose Honeycomb, whiffs of sherried peels and dried fruit, polished oak, slightly earthy and herbal as it develops in the glass. The Rare Cask is The Glenlivet's most exceptional triple cask expression and has a very high proportion of hand selcted First Fill Ex- Sherry casks which impart depth with intense spice and rich and dry fruity notes.Perfectly balanced, with warm, fruity, orange marmalade flavours and subtle notes of vanilla and liquorice. Through a skilful interplay of whiskies matured in three different types of cask, the Triple Cask Series amplifies the depth and complexity of the original floral, fruity taste of The Glenlivet single malt. This Mortlach 20 Year Old Cowie’s Blue Seal is the oldest expression in the Speyside distillery’s core range. It is a 10 year old “Kanagawa (upland seascape)” single malt release with only 370 bottles ever released. For a richer, intense character, our craftsmen have also used the ‘never-emptied’ solera vat to complete the maturation for a sweet and velvety taste profile. Palate Chewy dates, almond flakes, toasted coconut, Shredded Wheat in milk topped with brown sugar, good coffee.
