About this deal

This limited-edition 24-faceted bottle pays tribute to House of Suntory’s unique design approach, bringing “Monozukuri” craftsmanship to life while grounding it in Japanese culture, connecting each of the four seasons to our past and future. The legendary Hibiki represents true harmony, the ideal of perfection, the paragon of 'The Art of Japanese Whisky' and its artisans. A delicate scent of polished copper and light vanilla to start with, developing complex floral, green, mossy then fresh oaky notes, changing all the time. With its 24-faceted bottle (representing the Japanese seasons), Hibiki Japanese Harmony makes for a really impactful gift.

We recommend that you do not rely solely on the information presented here and that you always read labels, warnings, and directions before using or consuming a product. Not just in its surroundings but in the ingredients it uses, this Japanese distillery sources spring water from the Southern Alps it is nestled within to create its whisky. The new blend was said to use the same malt and grain whiskies used in the first Hibiki blend, being a blend of at least 10 malt and grain whiskies from three distilleries, aged in five different cask types, with some elements aged up to approximately 20 years. I tried Hibiki Japanese Harmony Whisky on a few occasions, I’m not a big whiskey drinker but I really enjoyed this, it had a nice taste not so strong as other whiskies. From its launch in 1989 to commemorate the 60th Anniversary of Suntory, Hibiki embodies the Suntory philosophy to live in harmony with nature and people.

Hibiki is not only Japan’s most highly awarded blended whisky, but among the most prestigious and honoured whiskies in the world and the range consists of The Harmony (released in 2015) 12 , 17, 21 and 30 year old all of which are becoming increasingly more difficult to source due to the increase in demand for Japanese whisky. Saji and Inatomi then found the flavor by blending thirty distinctive malt and mellow grain whiskies. The production process is very similar to that for Scotch whisky, and the product is the closest in style to Scotch of all non-Scotch whisk(e)y. Harmony seems like a pretty apt name for this moreish dram due to its poise and balance and it highlights the exceptional skills of their blending team, led by Shingo Torri, son of Suntory's founder and legendary Japanese whisky pioneer Shinjiro Torri. In 1987, Master Blender Keizo Saji decided to develop a blended whisky to reflect the sophistication of Suntory's techniques.I was going to rate lower, but I found this a much better whiskey when blending with a mixer or even watered down. Hibiki means reonance in Japanese and uses over 30 different whiskies from the Yamazaki, Hakushu and Chita distilleries all of which ar. Even the presence of purple is deliberate, for it’s regarded as Japan's most noble color, and so a purple ribbon encircles the neck of each elegant decanter bottle accordingly. Hibiki 12 Year Old blended Japanese whisky is a gem among whisky enthusiasts, showcasing the art of Japanese whisky blending at its finest. Suntory Hibiki Whisky is the epitome of light-yet-decadent, flavour-filled notes of zesty orange peel and fresh apricots which are married together by seductive white chocolate and a spicy black pepper and cinnamon balance that keeps you coming back for more.
