I wanted to love it because everyone raves about it but sadly this does not work with my skin chemistry. It is absolutely HYPNOTIC, but there is nothing nefarious about it, to insinuate "poison" or "darkness" or "death" so to speak. I wouldn’t wear this during a hot summer day though (for those days, I love vanilla rose scents), but even if I did, it doesn’t perform that bad.

I love the softness of the vanilla and almond powder I smell in it, however it is not longer a scent I can bust out on a regular basis due to the sharpness of the play dough smell. It reminds me of a mature mom who raised you, took care of you, picked you up from the kindergarten and read you stories, in other words, it's very comforting! I would say its definetly for wintertime as the plum and almond notes tend to match that wintery vibe. Poison: as eau de toilette or extrait de parfum, Poison is a sultry elixir with accords of honey and musks.while this perfume didnt strike me as play doh smelling at all, after reading reviews i could kiiinda see where people are coming from with this (just something to consider if youre thinking of purchasing this perfume. I totally made an account after i read your review because i felt the same way about hypnotic poison. The only other fragrances that kind of do the job are Confetto by profumum roma(more bitter almond/anisic alchohol dominant) and that BEAUTIFUL (vanilla and berry-fruit dominant) Lune de MIEL by Fragonard. Exuding a brazen, conquering spirit, Hypnotic Poison is an intriguing Oriental fragrance that breaks with convention. Yes, there’s lots of almond, but it’s high quality one, I tell myself I smell like an almond cookie while drinking some bourbon. Projecting a force field of heliotrope and sweet coconut when first applied, it coats the dermis with a thin film of sweetness, lasting the whole day on skin in a Dionysian romp of all things tempting and delicious.The bottle is absolutely beautiful and really tries to captivate a mysterious sexy villain era vibe.

Scent: At first spray, I get mostly the fruity notes (plum, coconut, apricot) mixed with a licorice- like smell. I used to love this for going out clubbing, it's got the same vibe as Alien in that it's got something about it that's different from everything else, people instantly know what you're wearing.The bitter almond is way too strong and it smells pretty much like cyanide or nail polish remover to my nose.
