About this deal

However I have used it a fair number of times on gigs and the sound has been great and the noise level non-existent. A must-have for blues and rock guitarists, the Big Joe B-301 Tube guitar effects pedal is an overdrive pedal with a vintage tone profile reminiscent of a screaming tube amp. Read more about the condition New: A brand-new, unused, unopened and undamaged item in original retail packaging (where packaging is applicable). So I've talked in other threads about running my SansAmp Tech 21 Blonde pedal as my direct-to-PA amp for my worship guitar work up at our church.

In terms of construction the JF-13 is made from durable aluminium and has a incredibly sturdy design. I use a Tech21 Blond v2 (with the speaker defeat switch) for that application - direct into mixer - and that is my recommendation. Yeah, from what I've seen most of the VIAB pedals are preamps meant to be put into a power amp or PA directly. I confirm it to be the same circuit as the Tech21 Character Series, but this one is kind of a mix between a Liverpool and a British. The ability to emulate with programmable devices (microprocessors, dedicated chips, etc) has only clouded these already murky waters. A couple of the amp models are passible when used with a real cabinet or external cabinet IR, but noisy (noisier than the Joyo pedals). For DI and PA use a Cab sim pedal would be required to improve the sound with the Wampler Thirty Something. Then by chance I tried it out with my EHX 5MM power amp with a TC Electronic Spark Boost (4 knob) behind it. This makes a huge difference in frequency response, as the open-circuit there in the Liverpool creates a big hi-pass slope.

Were it not for my Roland BC60 acquisition, I'd still have the TM-60 amp (great sound and light weight ). I also prefer both pedals going into the EHX 5MM, with the Spark Boost behind them, rather than direct to monitors; sounds more natural and amp-like this way. Currently thinking about trying it for recording as the amp simulator though - although the Amplug is great and will take some beating. The AC tone pedal from JOYO really captures something usually missing from most modern guitar sounds: subtle to aggressive warmth and a natural sounding overdrive. If the item comes direct from a manufacturer, it may be delivered in non-retail packaging, such as a plain or unprinted box or plastic bag.

I will sing the praises of the Ferrari California to the high heavens, but I can offer you a road test of the Miata from firsthand experience. Back to the matter at hand - I am gonna play with this thing another day or two, and then I'll post a video for ya'll to peep. But half this thread has been me having to defend myself about a pedal some were curious about, and that's just stupid. Maybe I didn't play around with these enough to find the sweet spots, but I did not like what I heard. cuthbertg wrote:I want to try to add a switch for the speaker sim bypass though, and as this is my first muck-about with SMD, I think I'll go and practice on some old PCI cards I have lying about first. As is usually the case here at TDPRI many of you follow the new products and have much more hands-on experiences than I ever do.
