About this deal

I hope to hear from you and your endeavors on training the Luigi amiibo, and how it came out in the end. If you are a new trainer, you may be wondering: Can the Luigi amiibo do the 0-to-death combo out of his grab? Keep Luigi on-stage at all times, as his recovery – despite consisting of both Green Missile and Super Jump Punch – is easily intercepted by human opponents.

You’ll want to avoid using Fireball, Green Missile, and Luigi Cyclone during training; in the case of the former, the AI often uses its Fireballs at inappropriate times, such as when directly next to an opponent. Luigi has Green Missile on stage hard-coded into his AI, but avoiding it at all costs, both using it and being hit by it, will reduce his usage of it by a lot.The latter two arrive on 19th January 2024, while Sora doesn't have a solid date at the time of writing. Just tap an amiibo accessory to the NFC touchpoint on a compatible system to enjoy fun in-game extra features in compatible games on the Nintendo Switch system, New Nintendo 2DS XL system, New Nintendo 3DS XL system and Wii U console.

Lastly, Luigi is one of only a few FPs who is vulnerable to taunt loops, in which he will continuously taunt over and over again until he is attacked or grabbed. In addition to training this amiibo, we also have the most cutting-edge guides for nearly every amiibo in the competitive amiibo scene’s many Discord servers. Parrying is key for this character, as he has incredibly strong options that can come from parrying, such as his smash attacks and his up special, Super Jump Punch. It makes no sense in-game (I know it’s related to a taunt), and it makes even less sense as a real product. The fact that Nintendo really did just take the Smash trophy poses with no exceptions showed a lack of planning and forethought about figures down the line. A small bit of down smash and landing down airs can be sprinkled in as well, though these moves shouldn’t be prioritized too heavily. So while there is no difference between the two Amiibo, they are certainly worth picking up since you can use them in a wide variety of games. You can only kind of see it in the picture below, but it does give Luigi a more realistic look (as strange as that is to say). The metallic paint is a nice accent on this figure and is something I wish the Super Mario Luigi had.
