Comparing it to the digital remasters, original CD and original Cassette Tape, this vinyl pressing just feels smoothest, with the instrumentation nicely separated. My favorite songs from this album that deserve special mention are: "Vision of Love", "Someday", "Vanishing", "All In Your Mind" and "Sent From Up Above".

I remember when this was first released, i was in high school, everyone was talking about this new fit bird Mariah Carey, but, i remember i wasn't that keen on this album at the time.The Emancipation of Mimi is the tenth studio album by Mariah Carey, released through Island Records on April 12, 2005. Vision of Love – 8/10 – The soulful vocals, melismatic runs, sustained notes and whistle notes are very nice.It premieres a variety of previously unreleased tracks including 'Workin' Hard', "All I Live For (Extended Version)', 'My Prayer', 'Hero (2009 Version)', 'Anytime You Need A Friend (Extended Mix)', 'Music Box (A Capella)' and two live performances from Top of the Pops: 'Dreamlover' and 'Without You. Why the f**k wasn't this given the full release/remix treatment, it would have definitely been yet another No1 to add to her list. I Am Mariah…The Elusive Chanteuse, as well as a sped-up version and a new three-minute edit of the song. I also have the US Walmart 'glass bottle' pressing which sounds really good, but this particular release is better in my opinion. Originally released in 1998, this greatest hits album includes the classics “Always Be My Baby,” “Fantasy” and “One Sweet Day,” along with 4 bonus tracks included on the original vinyl pressing.
