The keys and drum pads are awesome for experimenting with sound velocity without spending forever writing in notes by hand. There's a large selection of instrument sounds and effects to choose from with up to 8 project tracks with audio or MIDI.
That's why Impact LX25+ is a breeze to use but with enough extra features under the hood to challenge even the most experienced power user. Pressing the Instrument button places amp and filter ADSR envelopes on the 8 pots for instant access, regardless of whether the Default or User page is selected. The Nektar “Grab” mode allow you to temporarily assign parameters to controls as you work on your project. Nektar controllers of course provide all the features you’d expect from a good USB MIDI controller, including MIDI programming features and plug-and-play functionality. Once you’ve competed the above steps your preferences window in Ableton Live should look like Image 3 (Windows) or Image 4 (OS X).

A common workflow gives access to many of the functions you are most likely to need when recording and performing with your Impact LX25+.
