The Nikon EN-EL15c is a compact rechargeable lithium-ion battery with high capacity for long operating life. Not the chewy, chocolatey kind sadly but these cookies are useful to help show you relevant content. This also applies to accessories that are supplied with the camera including batteries which may have a lower optimum performance level/life expectancy.

Purchased these batteries for my Nikon Z6, they work perfectly - including charging in camera body via USB-C cable.

With the Z6II however, even with the EN-EL15C's, it barely makes it through an afternoon, and I don't chimp much at all. It can also be charged in-camera when used with Nikon cameras that support in-camera battery charging Z5, Z6, Z6 II, Z7, Z7 II Mirrorless models. Compatible cameras include the latest Nikon Z6 II, Z7 II and Z5 mirrorless cameras as well as previous Mark I models. The Nikon Rechargeable Li-ion Battery pack EN-EL15c is a high power 7V, 2280mAh version of the earlier EN-EL15 Nikon camera battery, and is compatible with select Z-Series mirrorless cameras. The EN-EL15c battery also fits Nikon’s Battery Pack MB-N11 and works with the Battery Charger MH-25a.
