About this deal

I've had a travel version that smelled better for some reason and lasted longer than these two, but they are still good. A swiss army knife - excellent for day/night, formal/casual, pub/romantic date, weekend trip/wedding, etc.

It definitely has some nice fresh qualities to it, but there's also something about it that doesn't sit well with me - I'm not sure exactly what note is doing this.I bought adg profumo on 50% so im not really mad, but the thing is that i heard so much good stuff about this, but when i spray it anywhere it smells like salty chemical water to me, but its not an unpleasant smell, but it reminds me of salty chemical water. I'll put it this way -- original Profumo (and all the ADG line) has a playful side whereas special blend is straight up business. Unusual spicy opening that smooths out rapidly into an almost "fresh oriental" warmth that could transfer into a summer evening out easily.

Like the reviews say, it does smell a bit sweeter as well, but that could be placebo effect from reading that descriptor so many times. The result is a charismatic, vibrant fragrance with an aura of mystery, that is representative of a rugged landscape meeting the ocean’s strength and immensity. Unlike the rest of the line, you could easily wear this in the cold weather because of the added incense. This perfume is intense and long-lasting with fresh marine top notes and base notes of incense and patchouli. The incence/zesty/earthy qualities really mellow it down to something pleasant and surprisingly sophisticated. I'm sure it's a good fit for a lot of people given the love it gets here but for me it's just not a great fit.

Dla mnie raczej za męski przez nuty drzewne i tego kadzidła, wolałbym zamiast tego więcej słodkości przez np Owoce, myślę że bardziej Profondo spełni moje oczekiwania. But in terms of the difference between Profumo and Special Blend, to me is the strength of the spice and how it tames the Acqua scent in a good way.

Personally, when viewed on its own and not tainted by the thought of the original ADG Profumo, I think it's great. A light, distinguished eau de toilette inspired by the fresh sea, warm sun and the richness of the earth. The original is the summer one, profumo is then sportier casual greener one and special blend is the dress up one.

The test strip eventually dried down to the familiar OG Aqua DNA but I was unable to suffer through the dry down to enjoy it. If you gonna be around em and you wanna smell fresh I’d go with Profondo or something like Versace pour homme. If you don't have enough money to afford a fragrance that is similar in some ways to its predecessor, you shouldn't even be rating the fragrance or commenting on it in the first place. Please stop leaving comments on here saying "it's the same exact fragrance just with a different bottle, it's just a cash grab, it smells 99. Many didn’t enjoy that I suppose that’s why they made the parfum but to me that’s what makes Profumo so special to me.I'm a fan at first sniff, although I'm disappointed that I discovered it right as it gets discontinued. I would not wear this during extreme heat during daytime but it could work on summer evenings in more formal and climate control environment. After a couple of comparaison of the 2 ADG Profumo, I can say they are slightly different, more then the first time i've try the new Special Blend. You make your way down the path and into the village, where the scent of freshly caught seafood mingles with the salty sea air, creating a delicious aroma that's both invigorating and comforting.
